I'd much rather have you here on the farm Oldchucky than either of those two bears. It isn't what you'd like to do but it is survival and all the neighborhood bears are putting @Frankster's carne perro restaurant on YELP.

L O L! Bears are a huge problem. And you’re right, once they are on to you they will be back. Sure, he could shoot it, but then you have a 250 pound carcass laying near your camp that you have to do something with And that’s no picnic. And there will probably be more. And dogs and bears don’t mix. Make sure you start singing one of your favorite blues songs when you are coming back to camp! You definitely don’t want to surprise one face-to-face. Where I was at bears were more numerous than deer. Could’ve killed more but try to stay closer to Camp To keep them from rummaging through my shit. He has a huge problem!

I'll eat some of it that is for sure. Won't have to pack up and buy as much meat and I'll skin it and put the rug in my tent and lay down on it...


Not ate one for many years now

Looks like great fur. He's healthy looking for sure. But I don't need a bear rug and can do without it....

Some would be nice but it's so much I can't possibly eat it all... Best if he keeps his distance and his fur... I can buy hotdogs or hamburger


He came once last night but sassy ran it out. I didn't even see him just heard him from the tent but when I got out the night vision he was gone. I don't think he made it all the way into the camp.

I don't think they are as bad as brown's. Different attitude entirely

If he was brown I might have gone after it right then. They are real trouble and dangerous

Chewing through waterline, tearing my shit up at camp, etc. after killing two it began to weigh on me. I came out here into their home to grow some pot! Not to slaughter every living thing that fucks with me! The waterline was a major hassle!

I've planted hundred dollars worth of turnips and stuff up there years ago for them to eat naturally. So they don't need to rummage...

I am more of a cat than a dog. Everyone is a little different I think in this regard


It's part of why I did what I did this spring and moved out of the city... Felt like a cage to me... A comfortable cage. Too comfortable
