Strangly, AG *is* "Mexican Brick", and it originally had seeds... back in the day. ;-)

Most weed in central/south america is heavily cross-pollinated with the results of the selective breeding of what emerged as AG.

The reason most "brick weed" is garbage is the shit growing conditions and horrible cure... not poor genetics.

Plus there are were many versions of lines of it. So if one got an outstanding batch that doesn't mean all the weed is ag in acapulco. There is a huge diff between sun dried induced gold and genetic gold,one is induced the other does because it has no choice. There's a lot of marketing going on throughnostalgia,Barney is lying and doing no service to anyone but themselves and their claims are to get into wallets. It may very well be great weed and the grower did a great job but real AG it is not.

Shit, EVERYTHING but Hawaiian Sensi & such had seeds back then, well into the 80s, I went dry mostly for next 2 or 3 decades, the whole seed taboo threw me for a bit of a loop when I returned.

Some argue that seedless cannabis is"missing" something that seeded weed gives by not truly completing it's cycle. I remember reading a book a long time ago,I can't recall who, and the author claimed such.

We had colombian gold and colombian red, the gold was stimulating and the red was sleeper. The most stimulating were Asian Strains,all of it well seeded,even the stick.

I was more than willing to pay $200/oz in 1975 ($1,045 today) for these treats when regular Columbian was going for $40-$45/oz. These are the gold standards to which I aspire to grow today. I got a few good puffs sometimes. It was potent.
Nothing in comparison to some african weed someone gave me one time.
That crap felt like mushrooms for about 3 hours. I was fucked up!
Nothing these days from dispensaries compares to those in my mind.
My own stuff is okay, but I need to find a real legacy strain to bring me back!

We never had african,just talk about it here and there,they called it black. The most psychoactive I ever had was Cambodian,speed weed. It was over $300 a sack but never returned after a summer.

I think the first seedless nugs I ever smoked was Alaskin Thunderfuck.

Considering the growing environments in Alaska and lack of natural cross-pollination, I would think it very likely that growing seedless buds would originate there... and then word spread among growers when people noticed the massive increase in quality & yield.

Lots of hybrid and inbred in Central Am fer sure...My impression is those Gold relations were from Lumbo Gold parent lines that lets say "migrated" to Central Am....
For me HOG(Highland Oaxacan Gold) was more avail then Acapulco, but the I believe Pulco is also directly related to the HOG as well...
Brick weed was almost all weed from Mexi source or Central cause the way they packed it and moved it...I recall Punta Rojo also having a brick packed look tho to...
Im with ya on the mexi brick being mostly garbage(maybe not total trash but very low quality fer sure...with plenty of seeds n stems) but the positive to that is that it was certain years and seasons they prod some proper good bud to...So some years Mexi and import brick weed was still a bit funky lookin but proper smoke...The worst would be the ammonia molded out bails or keys of brick weed which is the shit dry/cure mentioned earlier....
I remember seeing red bud and being like....idk....then smoking it and was like...oh yea thats nice...But the reality to it was that Sinsemilla started to become the new thing but shortly after that true Indicas and Kind Bud was born....We didnt see Indicas till the mid 80s in the Midwest USA and I saw my 1st True Indica "clone only" by 1988 still in a time when talking pot could get you busted easily...

Cause the pheno selected from that hybrid was Gold dom but not most ppl see it cause they cant grow it well or take the time to run shit out to 12-14+wks...
But when done right it would spin out even a seasoned smoker....power to it

Big fan leaves are no good for bubble hash as you need trichomes to make bubble hash and the large fan leaves in my opinion don't have enough.
