Defoliated again, i think 2nd time since last pic update. I bent all of the tall reaching shoots under the net. I broke one, but I think it'll make it. I taped it and let it be.
I will do more the following days. I am not sure how much I should do at once, but this seems right. 🤷‍♂️

Question: do I wait until the bud sites are more developed to do serious defoliation? Like when or should I trim every leaf except the ones coming out of the buds?

Most like to do it around week 3 as do i but really you need to do what needs done when it needs done to maintain plant health
Thank you. So just keep defoliating like I'm doing, getting low stuff, fan leaves shading Bud sites, unwanted new growth, injured or diseased leaves. And wait until week 3 to go heavy. Thanks.

Just stressing while I enter flowering, and assuming it's harder than the vegging part I've already done, maybe too much 😆.

Just wanted to test my first jewelry loupe, and see if I could press it to phone for a shot. Cool, can't wait to see this develop. This has become such a passion for me, I might have progressed from hobbyist lol. For someone who doesn't have children, seeing these plants progress is tranquil I'm itself .

I used to do that then got a microscope that plugs into my phone bit of a pita to use but can take some really good photos if your patient

I did get some serious defoliation done today at least.

I imagine the two plants that i'm unsure about will show their sex very soon right?

Is this normal? I can't tell what sex one plant is while another is coming along great

Flower week 2

Struggling to keep below light. Came home to some burnt leaves. I'm wondering if a 5' high tent is tall enough for my setup or just this strain.
While I don't know what this strain is, I do know the strain(Black Domina) I am putting in here next is known for being squat/short.

Another factor is that this is my first time and I seriously underestimated the stretch in flower, and perhaps if I start the flower earlier and scrog better, I can do this?

Sad, broke a part that 3 or so bud-sites off off the main shoot trying to train these hastily.

Go easy on me, I have seen the error in my ways! lol

I was able to rig the lights to go another 6" higher. Training the plant in a last ditch effort to keep it from burning itself on lights.

I keep telling myself "next time..." 😂

This is a great article that finally convinced me, as well as the pictures of roots on here w/ DWC and H202
How To Use Hydrogen Peroxide in Hydroponic Systems?

I try to be open minded, and am changing my opinions of not only using peroxide to thwart root rot but adding it on a regular basis for beneficial reasons.

I'm making the switch, or perhaps incorporate both. I've been convinced of the benefits of peroxide in hydro. My order of some 35% food grade should arrive at home today. Thinking of introducing it weekly into the reservoirs, or more diluted with water top offs which are every other day.

My question is should Southern AG fungicide/HydroGuard be used in conjunction with peroxide, or not?

Nope, live or sterile are the options. If you add corrosives to a live environment it will kill them. The moment you add peroxide you do not need hydroguard or southern ag. Also you might need to reduce res temps and get a chiller if you dont have one.

Depending on water temp usually every 2-3 days.

Are you haveing root rot issues?

No, not having any smell but hard to examine with current setup. Just worried because of the temps that eventually something will likely happen. Don't really want to invest in a chiller.
Also saw some photos of nice looking roots using peroxide.
And I'm using barely filtered water as my source, some kind of KDF, Hydroponics C-85 hose attachment. I read that peroxide can be used to treat tap water.
Worried the AG fungicide might not be the best choice with everything in consideration, idk if I should wait until something goes south or what.

Turns out the delivery is delayed until next week now.

Is this bud of concern? Or is this normal? Lol first time. Looks different than others.

I think it's from getting burnt by light, when it was a little lower a few days ago
