My two cents. Stay away from the Floraflex incubator cubes. They look really nice all perfect none smashed or deformed but I think they are too dense. My clone game has gone too shit. I went from 99% successful to like 80% and takes twice as long
Note taken. I have had nothing but success from peat pellets and rapid rooters once i learned to flip en upside down and poke my own holes because the hole in them is to big for the tiny ass clones i always cut lol.

But if this works out I’ll probably never look at another plug of any type… so cheap and easy so far

Hell ya he is ! I’d personally go crazy not havin plants as long as he’s gone between grows ! Hell I prolly quit smokin first.

I’m excited to this unfold as well!
haha when it came to my hiatus that's exactly what i did. quit smoking then quit growing. didn't pick either back up for a few years, still haven't picked smoking back up. a long tolerance break sure induces the anxiety, i'll tell ya what.

that's the next endeavor right there. hear that getting the platter temps dialed in for whatever you're making is one of the most difficult parts of the learning curve. has that been your experience?
I've been doing this for a long time. i'm what you might call and early adopter.

I had to rebuild both hotends for this project because they sat for a while, but I'm dialed in. Start it and forget it kinda thing now. The software on these have come so far that even a new printer should expect good results with a Prusa and PETG or PLA. I mostly use PETG these days. Hopefully you can see the results here, this is just a plug to go in a hole for when I am not using that grow site. Everything has to be tight in the res for the gases we are working with on this project.

your work definitely looks to come out super clean, and with machine tight tolerances. out of curiosity, does the software run on linux? or are you still restricted to the microsoft/apple ecosystems?

I use Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM. Output to 3MF format for printing. There is a post-processor built in for the 4 axis milling machine I use to make non-plastic parts. I also output from here to the laser cutter.

Fusion 360 also comes with Eagle which is the PCB layout tool I use to get boards made.

Example: This is a daughterboard for a Raspberry PI4that does some cool shit. This was like Ver 1.2 of this control project maybe 3 years ago? If you look close in the video in my intro post "Hello from Moe.Red" you will see it way back then. I've been on this project for several years now. It's cool to finally have a partner in @Aqua Man.

I use Prusa Slicer to make the print ready files. Those are called gcode.

I use OctoPI between the slicer and the printers. Open source and really cool.

I'll come back and put in links when I get to PC.

Installed. Now gotta make the connections to the code and start the database up to collect all the data. Then start adding more sensors, next is the res. PH EC DO Temp Water level etc.

After I get done working in the tent I'll close it up with an Exhale bag in there and see if there is anything to them. Been dying to try this for a while, because the results I'm reading about seem impossible. I'm from Missouri. I gotta see it myself.

Great thread. The power of two legendary growers here will show in short time. These old genetics growing turbo speed will be exciting and the new systems I may have to replicate for myself 😎
