Did PPfD testing at 25% 50% 75% and 100% at 22”

Then brought it back down to about 335 for now to run best part is these readings are even across the whole area!

DLI at 18 hours is 69.5 at 100% lol

Wow what a difference these new light make, having that power supply / controller outside the tent is a game changer, my daytime temps are almost identical to my nighttime temps with the old lights, absolutely no heat whatsoever from the light bars it’s insane lol

Ok so my one law brother in law defenitly has a variant of Chemdog is all my brother in law lies , (and from who I I talked to (his source) will probably take a clone from him start a mother, I’ll try to research the genetics from who he got it from (not difficult I’m sure a quick conversation will result in the origin as far as where he got it and then investigate further to see if it’s worth following my wife’s family has a… history betweeen cali and where I live, Over the past 30 years (my other brother In law behold has been othe other side of the law for the 30 years I’ve known him. Nowadays we’d support him but back then it’s what he spent 15 years in prison for. And still has these genetics going now told him save me some clones of the chem dog clones for now so I have it when I find out The origin

Ok, so he has a Cinderella 99 as well as white widow both he says are from Brothers Grimm seeds, the other strains he has I haven’t heard back about origin yet haven’t seen him face to face yet it’s a relay text from my wife haha

He also has one he said is called “the clowns” this one I have no idea of the origin and can’t find the strain online (I’ll have to find out if it’s something his buddy has been breeding)

I believe my plan will be to take a few cuts from the Cinderella 99. I’ll grow them out a bit, pick the one that seems to be doing the best in my grow environment and about halfway through this auto run start take some clones off her and just keep her as a mother in the “dry tent” with a few of my old lights.

Have a few questions though, I’ve never cloned cannabis before anybody have a thread they know of with a good rundown of the process, and how to care for the clones till they root? And then what’s the best soil to start them in after rooting? I’m considering taking a white widow cut or 2 as well, I plan to see what cut stays the healthiest until I take cuts and scrap the rest

And question 2 would be, how much light do clones need? I have 4x LED bars I believe are around a true 120w all combined, would that be sufficient for clones? And also would it be sufficient to keep the mothers under after I pick them? I kept some veggie seedlings under them for about 2.5-3 weeks and they did great… but as we know these aren’t veggies lol

Alright so just sitting at work and got a phone call, mother in law had to come get veggies out of my car but came by with a special delivery lol

She said the e been in the water for 4 days they look like they just got cut haha 3 Cinderella 99’s and he said there’s some kind of Congo strain plants he had so he took 2 cuttings of those, the “Congo strain” will need to be reverted back as you can see they are in preflower but they are holding up nicely on their own sadly they have to sit in my car for the next 9 hours, luckily it’s a overcast drizzly day outside and only about 70f

Alright well today is day 9 on average, one runt really lagging behind but the rest are starting to get at it

Didn’t have a dome for the cuttings so just tossed them in a fresh cup of water, trimmed the leaves a bit and shortened them up and put in a 5 gallon bucket on the floor with plastic wrap to hold in extra humidity and I sprayed the bucket a bit. The tent is at 65-67%RH. On the floor the bucket it getting 100PPFD

Would it be better to buy those peat pucks for the clones to root in or should I pick up some other type of seedling soil my plan will Be to use the same type of soil for these plants that I made for the plants above but I’ll only be using the jump start from the 2 happy frog the rest would be the same, but that’s later first I gotta get these rooted tomorrow night on my way to work I’ll stop by the gardening store I wanna get the best I can for them, what’s everyone’s suggestions? Hopefully they have some rooting gel or powder I believe they did last time I was in there

Today marks the day of the ol water soak, going with 6 plants as I did last run. This run will also have 2x Hindu Kush, 2x candy kush, and will be adding 2x master OG all from growers choice seeds, all feminized autoflowers, an extra Hindu Kush seed went into the water just as a backup.

Lighting will be the same 2x 1500w KingLED’s
Medium, coast of Maine stoningham blend it’s 1/5th fox farm happy frog, 1/2 a bag of coast of Maine earthworm castings as well as added vermiculite and 2x types of fox farm dry amendments, may have added a splash of leftover fox farms happy frog I had laying around as well, this run is a planned top dress only run with some compost teas, we will see how it goes, pot size is 5gallon fabric pots same as last run

Will continue with the 6” spider farmer exhaust and will add in the 4”SF exhaust if needed

With cooler temps coming I will be venting directly into the lung room this run as we heat the home with wood the heat from the lights will be keeping the temps up in the basement room the 4x8’ AC infinity tent is in.

Plants will be staring off with the 100w LED strips I started the last run with and will add the KingLED’s at about 1 week of growth. Lights will be lowered when seeds move from water to soil tomorrow (germination will be 14 hour soak in water then direct plant into medium)

Straight in to a solo cup with coco/perlite or perlite with a cup over it on top to hold rh/dome

Or root riot “pucks”/ cubes

Clonex Really does seem to work the best, but there’s other good products as well like dynagro root gel , cyclone gel

Best to start in smaller pots to train the root system then upplant

thanks for the responses guys, went with solo cups with some seed starter soil, (light warrior brand) they only had one choice for rooting agent (a powder) so I grabbed that, I cut 3 slots in the bottom of each solo cup and pre watered to slight runoff dipped the clones after I shortened them up a bit and got at least 1 good node under the soil and coated in powder, and for good measure added in a bit of great white shark myco

Capt. jacks deadbug I bought last time I was there and forgot it they saved it under the counter for me (and called me to let me know I left it) just had a chance to go back to pick it up before I get ready for work tonight so I could get those clones out of water lol

This stuff seems like a pretty good mix very loose, lots of perlite etc


Put these back in the 5 gallon bucket with stretch wrap over it with some holes in it and back in the floor for now
