Hi all,

I have been looking for a harvesting, drying, and curing procedure (process, recipe, ect...) but cannot seem to find anything legit. The algoithm only seams to feed me the best source of ad revenue these days. What I mean by that is that out of the dozens of sources I have come across I have yet to find a source, that in most cases, doesn't go nearly into enough detail or specifics, or in other cases, doesn't, at least in one way or another, blatantly contradict other sources. Additionally, I got a B.S. in Biotechnology, and the research aspect of that degree taught me how to sniff out bs. Needless to say, I haven't come across a single source that doesn't in some way or another send up red flags. Hell, it's hard enough to find anything that isn't just some narcissistic "grow bro" filming himself harvesting his plants while he rails off about some completely un-related or inconsequential blatant hooey. Can anyone please point me towards an objective source for this procedure. If not, can anyone please expound on the topic, that means systematically and in detail. A paper published in a reputable journal would be ideal, preferably something that's been sourced. However, I realize that may be a bit much to ask the cannabis growing community, so a well-made YouTube video that clearly and concisely explains the topic would suffice, and by concisely I do not mean short.

If you are an un-read organic grow bro, f*** off. If you haven't done this before, then f*** off. If you have done this before and ended up with anything other than top shelf results, then f*** off. However, if you have done this before and it resulted in sub-par results and would like to lay out your detailed procedure along with where you think you went wrong, I would appreciate your personal retrospection because what you did right and wrong can be very helpful in its own way.

I look forward to hearing the detailed procedures of obviously well read and experienced growers.

Many thanks, Cly D. Iley

FYI…for $2,950 you can enroll in one of four new online cannabis courses now offered by Worcester Polytechnic Institute and learn all you need to know about our beloved plant. But registration closes tomorrow so you better put down your splif, joint, bong, dab, or whatever and, as they say, “get with the program.” 🤪
Happy growing!

Well , I don’t have a degree or anything but I guess I deserve one because my weed comes out fabulous every time . I think I got all my info out of a book called cannabis growing 101 . Lol ! I start out by trimming branches and bringing them to my basement. I then trim to smaller stems so they are manageable. I then trim all sugar leafs off of the buds and save all leafs for hash . Some people prefer to keep sugar leafs on for drying , it’s preference ! After trimming buds meticulously I hang the stems off my floor joists with tacks . I have a fan run down there in the distance circulating air but not directly on them . It usually takes about a week but there is no scientific time limit . I then place my buds in large mouth burp canning jars with a digital barometer and I pull a vacuum on the jar . The jars are made for this . I burp them every two days for about a month and then I leave the vacuum for a week for a month . Total drying time for me is usually four months . They say the longer the better but I can’t imagine better so oh well . You want the humidity sensor to be 60 % or a little lower . Again preference! I forgot to say that I also take all buds out of jars once a week and spread out on news paper for 15 minutes . Drying is a long slow process and can be very frustrating because you want to dig in ! Lol . Patience is a virtue ! Not sure if I left anything out but that’s it for me . I know everyone’s different and that’s what makes the world go around ! Good luck to everyone . I had to hang these buds early because the stems snapped from three days of drizzle rain . I couldn’t just throw them away . And here’s a picture of a burp jar which I’m sure most of you have
