So your VPD now is better. I like the higher RH at this stage.

30 seconds seems too short and 2 hours too long to me. Seems like with nothing but hydroton there is no way to get them wet enough and keep them wet. I'd worry about my roots drying out. I don't think you can overwater at this point, but you could underwater.

The only drawback I see to running the pump more is possibly heating the water too much. What are the black hoses going out of picture? Is that a chiller or filter or something?
I have 2 pumps in the tank . one feeds the dripper on the timer and the other is constantly running in the rez tank and feeding out to a water chiller

yeah i have had a successful grow previously with it. remember we did get root rot at the end ?
Sorry, I jump around so much it's hard to keep it all straight.

Since you have a chiller, no issues there. Personally I would up the watering cycle, and I just read you don't water at dark, I think this might be a mistake. That hydroton looks dry as (insert something course here that you would not say to your mom)

but compare the first set of pics and the second… id be curious to see his ppfd readings
I'm too old, I gotta see them side by side. 1st is 1st group of pics, second is now.

1st

2nd

Not sure if they are the same plant tho. Actually probably not comparing new growth. But overall I don't see improvement personally.

ok cool , so i just just adjusted the timer and pump will kick in for a minute of watering every hour. EC still at 1.0

I do also tend to go in the tent so many times a day ( cant help myself ) and also do get a small cup and water over the top of the hydroton too to help it

Yeah thats what i see also and the cal mag will give with a bump in N.

idk i see a difference although slight i think its only going to import over the coming days.

But if you really wanna find out you can pit the light back down and raise the intensity to where it was now that the VPD is better

the light is about 3 1/2 ft above the plants - it was originally at 3ft . the sf4000 is very powerful light

i do have cal mag but its the Green planet brand ?. would that mix with the GH Trio ? is cal mag cal mag ? same same ?

could put a little in ?

1/4 dose should be fine.

i bet you put a humidity gauge right by those plants and its much higher than you think

Aquas got you covered,
in my experience with that light, it’s intense, and extra calmag is a must. You could do a foliar application at lights off

i hadnt added any into the rez till Aqua told me to. Just put in 15ml into the 60L rez so see how that goes - it did bump the ec up ever so slightly .

Im wondering also as these nutrients GH Trio are for 'Hard Water' mmmm my tap water is only 0.2ec

Micro part of the formula can be substituted if you have hard water.

I've been using gh 3 part for almost 10 years and last year i realized there was a micro for hard. Used the hard water version last gro and noticed nothing different.

Plants look fine, don't over think it. Having said that, add calmag to increase your ppm by 50 ppm.

👍 my water is 0.2ec so I don’t think that is hard water. I was saying the nutes are for hard water so wasn’t sure if that mattered. Yeah added bit of cal mag so see how it goes next few days cheers bro

They don’t really look much better today

Wondering if I should add bit more micro and grow to bring up ec from 1.0 to 1.2?
