sorry, another question on nutrients - when do i start process of backing off nutrients during this phase and is there any schedule to follow?
All depends on the plants… you’ll find a shit ton of opinions out there but they are all best guess. Typically after swelling the needs go down. Its all strain, size, environment and ratios so there isn’t one definitive answer

OK, I just finished week 3 so I will work on it some. Changed light schedule on 8/29
so i read that you are looking for about 80% amber here for completion. is that correct? just want to know what i should be looking for over the next few weeks or more.

This was mine a few days ago. Im actually seeing purple come out on the top leafs now. I pulled a lower popcorn nug today and it looks like it can use some more time. Im at week 7 and its an 8 to 9 week grow. Generally when you see 95% red hairs you can harvest. Now once you keep it going the tricomes become more cloudy like whats in my video. Im waiting until my lowest buds are finished this go around. Ill prolly do some defoliation tonight on it to allow light down there.

For you, you got 6 weeks minimum to go. I wouldnt harvest before the 60 day flower mark ever again. For me i just want to use all the buds. Im thinking I harvest in 2 weeks and start lowering nutrient levels. Perhaps ill stop giving it phosphorus in around 5 days to hopefully bring out the purple. Prolly lower my room and res temps down 5 degrees to slow it all down too. Idk what im doing. . but on this plant. . its working so imma keep going.

Ive also come to the conclusion its all about genetics. Im sticking with barneys farm for a while. This is just wild. Anyways. . might as well build you a veg room and start some more. That way when you yank this one you have a big one ready for flower. You only need 1/4 the space. Hell you can start it under that plant in the corner.

Man that looks so nice. I can only hope. Thanks for the information and time estimation. I figured I had 4 weeks left for sure so 6 weeks makes sense to me. As I said before, I don't want this part to creep up on me and I realize at the last minute I forgot to back off nutrients or something else. I wish I had better temp control in here, but it is what it is - so far they have survived and done well enough. No veg room but I am making do. I have 3 in the queue already (one in dirt) so I am hopeful I have the next in line ready. I am just shuffling these in and out of the closet in the eve when their schedules no longer match and need more light. I have my old crappy grow light from Amazon.

My queue - second pic in square bucket is actually a clone from the first one. I had a large branch I had to clip so I just threw it in rockwool and after 2 weeks of not dying I went ahead and moved it to a bucket. I gave it no real attention and fully expected it to die.

this I started LST started earlier

Well fine then, how about you try co2 and a sealed room? I mean at this pace you will eventually, might as well have no regrets. A vented room is far easier though. I spent about 1000 to 1200 for all the stuff. Dehui, 12000btu window unit, 2 tanks, actuator and controller, regulator. . and yea. . pretty glorious I must say that. That mimosa has been getting 2000ppms of c02 the entire flower cycle.

I'd say when you get bored, figure out how to do it. Then theres also testing equipment for making your batches last longer. Ironically my best looking plant is the one that hasnt had a res change for 7 weeks of flower. Ppms stay under 1000. Idk how its doing so well. . but I guess im saying it hasnt been an easy 2 years. Yet i see you getting there faster than I did at this pace. Keep up the good work

careful with coco in hydro, the coco doesn't dry as fast as hydroton

@Cashmeh i assume leaves yellowing here are expected? Also, PPMs seem to be stuck around 640 all week. Even after I changed water. Just want to make sure nothing to worry about

What are your ratios when mixing? Generally its a lack of N anytime I see yellow leafs. At this point you should be cutting back on the calmag. Id run about 80ppms of calmag, 250ppms of micro, and 200ppms of bloom. Given u are using trio.

Perhaps wait on a second opinion also. Im not the best at diagnosing issues. I just like keeping my N value above 150ppms.

Hey
some info for others too
This is a Strawberry Kush Feminized with about 4-5 weeks left (I think).
PPMs are on average 700.
Water replaced last week
I generally use about 4 teaspoons of Cal-Mag when feeding/water replacement, and equal parts of General Hydroponics Flora series trio. PH is always 5-6.
Thanks

@Aqua Man, maybe you have an opinion as well?

Yea your going to have to add micro at least every 3 or 4 days. The N is used up pretty quickly in the res while the P and K last a bit longer. Id say lack of N
I ran extremely high ratios of N for my last grow. The leafs absorbed so much N that they became purple up top. The lower leafs were still green due to lack of light available, but still. I will always run around 150ppms of N using any aquarium test strips.

You also have alot of 3 finger fan leafs, this means the plant went through a high period of stress when flowering. Ive seen it with others in their hydro grows and had it myself but no more. Dont know what would cause it, but im sure others will chime in.
