What I meant by reset was it would create a version that has the vibrance of a new seedling. This may be bro science but I was told HLV can make the jump in tissue culture as well. I have one plant that I receive that was a clone of a Tissue cultured mother. It did display the traits of cloning a new seedling.
I just wish I had a nice laminar flow hood like many of the Commercial mushroom guys use to preform tissue culture work!!!!
Easy to build bro

So guess who turned on the water today then went inside to make a call that lasted 2 hrs while completely forgetting he turned the water on… yeah i know guy is an idiot…
Hey it’s ok I’ve flooded my bathroom and basement like 5 times this summer. The float valve didn’t work worth a shit so I had to just time it out. Except I would forget to actually set any timer and then wake up hearing noises which was water dripping thru my bathroom floor into the basement. Luckily on the unfinished side that has a drain but still!

I will look into it. I just wish someone on here that has built one would give me some pointers
What ya wanna know? 😬

just watching a movie can help ya through DM after. The main expense is the filter

Ouch man… kinda makes me feel fortunate

Answer prob in here but haven’t read it yet.

I started reading but after 30 minutes could not find what I was looking for. I'll spend some time on this over the weekend and see if I can find some useable results to start with.

Not so sure about using CRISPR myself, we will see.

Personally I have never seen HLV.

If done properly tho, I think that virus elimination is one of the benefits of TC. If you take just the Apical Meristem, chances are the virus isn't yet there in an otherwise effected plant, and then you do a sterilization process with chlorine on the plant cells.

But again, no first hand experience.

Moe you are making look up the fancy words. But I learned something. Apical Meristem is in the new grow tips and roots. Responsible for cell division so that makes sense. The viroid may not have traveled to the new growth yet. That makes sense because the bro science way of trying to chase the biroid out of the plant is rapid growth and cloning.

Thats exa how I understand it

Ohhh yeah, what are we buying???
All this flowhood talk... I've been out of the fungiculture work for a little while now, but man if I didn't spend a lot of time building shopping lists for hoods I never ended up building. Now it's like 3x the price 😒. Dayton blowers are like $2-300 now 😬
Guess I'll whip out the old SAB in the meantime...

🤣

Very very nice setup
It is about $1000US for everything there including the stainless sheet for the top.

Could go with 1 filter instead of 2, but honestly I wish I had 3 when I have a bunch of mushrooms to process. My bubba's barrel (pasteurizer) holds 200# of substrate per load. It does not all fit up there without gymnastics.

For a small lab, you could get away with a much smaller setup.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Wooden box house the hepa filters. With prefilters around the intake to help keep the Hepa Filters clean? What CFM fan?
Correct. Lemme find the blowers

2 of these

2 of these

The rest is just plywood and screws, and yes there is a prefilter made of just furnace filters to keep any dust out of the Hepa filters.

What are you using to sterilize? Atmosphere or pressurization

You work infront of the hepa so the jars are only exposed to cleaned air. Generally let it run to clean the room air for a period of time is good practice. I built a positive pressure box for $100 because its more economical for a small setup. But a laminar flow hood is the Cadillac

This is for the bulk substrate

Bubba

And I use a pressure autoclave for the grain spawn bags

Autoclave

Really hard to find autoclaves in stock since 2020 for --- reasons.
