The lower leaves turning brown and dying shows that there may be a mobile nutrient problem. My first guess would be lockout from over watering, but it certainly could be VPD related, or both, or other issues. They don't look under fed to me. They look like they are not using the nutrients they have. My approach would be to try to save the plants to learn what went wrong. Controlling the temperature and watering would be a good place to begin.

Definitely. And if the vpd is way off or fluctuating like crazy, they can't use or get rid of the water they do have, low temps slow water consumption even more. I think he has a few different issues going on here and there's not going to be a consensus on onse thing that will fix his issues, but I agree, dial in the environment and get watering down are probably the big ones. Maybe even pop one out and check out the roots. @GrowUp777 if you want to tip one out of it's pot and take a pic of the root zone that might be helpful for us to get a better idea of what's happening.

I'm wondering if I should throw it all out and start over.
No.see if you can get recovery on them try 3 methods on them .break it down to thirds .and see if one method works .great time to learn.and also record all your play by play actions .write it all down .dates times bla bla bla.
You have nothing to lose.i learn by my mistakes. Best teacher there is .

You also have to remember that once the soil and roots get cold, it's going to take a bit before they warm back up, like not just a couple hours either... another reason why fluctuating environment is a bad idea. Roots really don't like being cold, like every other part of the plant, it slows them down a lot.

You don't have to kill it, just tip it upside down, pop it out, get the pic, pop it back. Yes that's cold, definitely a contributing factor.
I keep mine at 20c low and 30c high give or take 1 to 2 points.and lights are 3-1000 w leds.Bestva.at 20" hi lowering them a bit each day.
I'm green as heck at this but have bottled lighting on my 1st run.
A few small issues but all in all ok.
Good luck and save them puppies

I'm wondering if the grow light was on when the pictures were taken. If so, the light doesn't seem to be very bright.

I will raise them on another pot and raise the degrees of night temperatures. the tent sits in a room that is heated and is always around 20 degrees. there is constant air flow from an open window

I'm going to uproot one plant to photograph the roots for you because they are too small and if I just turn the 18 liter pot over I don't think they will reach the bottom and
