I was looking at it for a year, but there was no way I was spending that much. Then I got an email that it was $400 off at one of the lighting places I've used, and I lost my shit.

I love it, never had so much control, but within days, I was thinking of improvements -- like maybe a separate timer for the far red diodes. I have a separate far red LED bar, but there is not much place to hang it with the Raging Kush in the way.
Pretty sure you can do that with a recipe. You can do all sorts of timing shit like dusk to dawn and whatever. You can figure it out.

Recipe? Is that part of the app?

Forgive me, I still have not unboxed my new light yet or checked out the app other than downloading it to my phone. Definitely looking forward to learning what this light can/will do in the right hands.
Yes the app is called Theia

Gotcha.

Yeah, I can see he goes horizontal too.

Seriously, I can see mystic is playing with that. Look at the color changes in each of the photos as time goes on. Looks like he is moving towards blue / white.
Noticed that too

Seems like I just spend a grand on a hlg QB just yesterday (2 years) and already obsolete! Lol
Yeah, I was thrilled with my HLG when I got it. The light distribution issue was nothing, because I had switched from HID, but I didn't like using the same light for veg and flower. It just cut against everything I thought I knew with HIDs. I was thinking I'd have to buy a "Bspec" HLG for veg.

And a couple of weeks later...
View attachment 1329319

Everybody's happy. The male/female count came out like this:
The Convergence: 6 girls, 3 boys
Saka Souffle: 2 girls, 2 boys
Then there are 3 fem Cinderella 99 XX and 2 fem Wombats.

All told, it will be an overstuffed tent. 12 plants is pushing it for a 5' x 5', so 13 plants.

Since my local source for Lush soil went out of biz, I am trying a locally mixed soil with the catchy name, "Great Lakes Water Only." The two girls in the black pots up front were transplanted into it Tuesday and Wednesday. They didn't freak out. This new soil is way overpriced. I doubt I'll get it again.

I'll finish the transplant this weekend and flip a few days later. A couple are already 18", and the stretch on some of these is about 3X, so the clock is ticking. I will have to be a little extreme in trimming side branches to keep these gals from interfering with each other.

There will be little button buds on these bitches the next time I post.

Feels like flippin' time. I may have waited a touch too long, with this packed tent. I flipped to 13/11, with a 30 minute sunrise/sunset. Let's see how quickly they flower.
IMG 7425

The tall girl over on the left has already had her main stalk bent over at 90 degrees and tied down. The one in the back and the one on the right are both looking for bondage and discipline, as well.

The plants in the center are getting a little too much light. You can see one back there praying. Some slight canoeing, here and there, as well.

Other than epsom salts, a little wetting agent and one dose of a kelp product, they've been living on soil nutrients. Oh, and tap water, which has a lot of calcium in it. A few had sets of leaves that showed too much N (slight hooking, shiny leaves) but that seems to have passed.

I said I won't post again until there are buds, but I've lied again. Sorry.

Only 9 days after flipping, and Cinderella XX has button buds. All three have them. The other plants look like they'll develop them within another week, but CXX is definitely a fast developer.

Some plants were born to clone. Others? Not so much.

Cinderella XX, after 10 days:

The Convergence, after 10 days:

In all fairness, another of The Convergence rooted and is in soil already. Out of the six, two have yet to develop a root.

Other than that, things are looking OK. They've gotten nothing but water, Silica Blast, epsom salts and a wetting agent. Turns out, that Add Great Lakes Water Only soil is the most hydrophobic potting soil I've seen in years.

There has been a lot of pruning and a bit of defoliating, but obviously I'm not into heavy defoliation.

I'm taking this as a sign stretch will soon come to an end. This is one of The Convergence girls, who didn't have any super cropping done on her main stem. She's starting to go alternate leaf! Just a couple of days shy of the end of week 3.
IMG 7444

Cinderella XX seems to have a jump on everyone else, by a few days.
IMG 7443

And now some observance of the different religious leanings of plants. Both plants in the following pic are different phenos of The Convergence. One is clearly praying for lower light levels, while her devil-may-care sister, on the right is perfectly happy soaking up the rays.
IMG 7445

Philosophical question: If I defoliate the religious one, would I be violating her rights?

Nice work up in there ! I tried the XX today burnt great nice uplifting head , but I prolly chopped a little early, wife said very citrus smelling but not pineapple at all This is just a 2 week cure or so - no big buds here when it goes in a jar it’s ready to be ground - no stems ,
The other pic is still going in a white fly infested tent! Not funny but she’s comin down soon.
No doubt urs I’d in a better environment gettin anxious to see your finished flowers !
