I just saw this thread. A nice break from some of the growing threads I can't understand.... ;). It's like "Help!! My leaves!!". Then someone asks "What's your system like?", and then it just trails off.......

Anyway I started smoking young, I was 13. 1982. I was a hyper kid, definitely ADHD but in the 70s they didn't help hyper boys out much. My Dad had the brilliant idea to take me out of public school and put me into catholic school in 5th grade. So I just got yelled at by nuns. What they should have done was give me more/more advanced work, and more exercise.....

I loved weed as soon as I tried it. And it worked great for me. Unfortunately it was a tough time to be a kid pot head. This was the Reagan drug war years. So a lot of being stealth and paranoid. But I smoked every day, before school, during, after......I still got very good grades, I never did anything bad, just class clown type of stuff......and I was well on my way to becoming a hippie. I also went to a very good, catholic, all boys, JROTC High School. The JROTC was optional by the time I went, but the school gave me good balance, and kept me solid. I went onnto college, kept smoking every day, I was the guy who got the best weed and hooked up all of my friends. I become a Dead head, Phish head, eventually grew my hair (I still have long hair;) ). But I'm also a financial advisor......he he he....I worked on Wall st for many years.....

I liked mushrooms and LSD too, still do. I was always respectful of it, I didn’t do it constantly, I've probably tripped about 50+ times over the past 35 years. About once a year I'll still do a good dose of mushrooms or 2 or 3 drops of good LSD......

Somewhere about 15 years ago, in my late 30s, I stopped smoking weed every day. Already I had cut down, there's no waybyou can do bong hits all day or get high in the morning and still be sharp and focused, work in an office.........if you asked me at age 20-25 to stop having weed for a day I would have climbed the walls. But at 35 I was down to just a few hits at home after work at night. At 40 I was going a days here and there without it, my tolerance continued to drop, and these days I go more days without weed than with it. Your brain changes as you get older, or maybe I've just had enough.... ;). Or God forbid......I've become more mature......nah. Full circle, I'm now far more excited about growing it (and breeding, landraces, heirlooms.....) than using it. I still love weed, and when I have it I get ripped. Sometimes I'll have an edible or two, or a hit of extract, and I'll be flying.....

I'll be just as happy growing now. :)

I just use the only smoke during 4 to 6 hr window a day idea. No lovely morning joints any longer. It does work great for me, i am disabled and have nasty pain that gets worse as the day goes by. I smoke last hours of the day so i can eat, sleep, kind of relax and ignore the pain easier. My one big Problem with it is harvest time. Those gorgeous fresh buds YELL my name lol so for a month after a harvest i just can not control myself well. I wonder is that just a me thing?

Edible use, esp low mg, sneaks up on me. I'll think about the previous week to gage my consumption and it hard to remember if I had a little tincture one day or a candy another day or not.

For the most part yes, but on work days only right after work, then nothing till the next day, on my 7 day weekends, it’s blaze-o-clock all day everyday 😁

Just stopped smoking for a week.
Having so many dreams, and i can remember them, this is normal for me when i take a break from smoking.

First day is the hardest to fall asleep.
Thats why i take a cup of Mulungu tea in the evening, very relaxing and good for sleeping.
This is what happens when you quit drinking as well. Vivid dreams and 4 hours of sleep daily for months. It was explained to me that alcohol and weed inhibit REM sleep, the dream stage” and when you stop, the brain makes up for lost REM.

Can confirm with the alcohol, stopped for 8 years but those first few weeks where torture, dreams you swear where real even after you woke up trying to think if it was a memory from the day before or if it was all in your mind lol

If I quit smoking, I know I wont sleep for at least 3 days because I will sweat and stink profusely at night for some reason. I never hear anyone else talk about it so maybe I am just weird and smoke too much but that is the biggest withdraw symptom I get besides being lazy and cranky.

I've heard this from a lot of people including crazy dreams I haven't experienced this yet as I've smoke all day everyday for the past 5 years at least , I need to cut down big time

I smoke enuff that I haven’t had a dream I remember in …… I can’t remember how long ! 😂
Hey, I too smoke a lot and I've a great dream life. I'm non stop am through pm but booze just gets me sick now. I used to drink like a fish along with smoking pot but the last 20 years my consumption of booze has gone to about 10 -12 beer a year and maybe some Bailies in coffee around Christmas.

If I could get buy on an OZ a week it would be cheaper to buy than grow. as it is Its close to even ...Biscotti Skunk today, great in my new desk top Vape but a bit too dry to roll nicely...
