We are so fortunate to have a bee keeper not more than 2000 yards from our home. A couple small rolling hills separate us. These bees regularly visit our English Garden and all the potted flowers and vegetables on our patio. They love our lilacs and wild roses and we love them.

I typically purchase enough of this honey to last us until the next season. It is delicious and just wonderful in everything.

I keep the 5 pound jars stored in our pantry. The pantry is not typical, as it is not located below the frost line, in a basement. It is a room without direct sunlight and an average temperature of around 72 degrees.

Sometimes, one or two of the jars will provide a special treat, whereby the bottom 2 inches will crystallize.

I'm not sure what this is or if it is related to his process, but we absolutely love it. Its like honey candy.

It reminds me of when we purchased a honeycomb and ate it.

So good on you CG. You are right on point, as always.
Mornin Tremojem!
My Granny was a beekeeper 🙂 The crystallization of honey is a natural process. It can be completely reversed by sitting your jar in a pot of boiling water. Honey just simply does not go bad. Kind of a miracle food. It has been found in thousands of year old tombs in perfect condition.
I too have an English garden 🥰

If I got an asshat or they pulled that crap where they hide shit on sale I’d fire off an email to head office on Yong St. Got pretty good service after that.

Now that it’s no longer Canadian owned it’s gone to shit here. Scrapped the money just to collect more info and give back less. Princess auto is better but more farm friendly. No home appliances. 🤣
Mornin Zen!
I see you have been up a bit too. I stayed up this morning until 3:30 just watching. We were in an area that seemed to have some bad news aimed at it and are currently under a tornado watch until 11 this morning. It got crazy hot here yesterday 87 as matter of fact! I knew that was going to fuel the hell out of it. Luckily around 9 p last night the temp started dropping slowly. I was hoping that would take the heat off of us a bit. Seems it did!
Glad all is good on your side of the rock!

Long story but I'll never walk into Canadian Tire again. I don't like being told to Get the Fuck out of here after spending $1000 on tires after walking into the garage bay during THE BIG BAD BUG Panic looking for my car. I had a guy wanting to fight me all angry and yelling and I don't take no shit so it got a bit heated. I contacted management about it and they ignored me so fkem, they have nothing I need that can't be bought elsewhere.
I do business completely different these days over that very shit! Thankfully I live in an area that did not fall for that shit. Life went on as usual, no masks etc. Worst thing was I lost my Dr. of 15 years cause she refused to push the so called cure. I have a great respect for her.
All is good here this morning it’s the last defoil day of this grow and man I sure need to do it! Here’s my ladies at just a couple of days from three weeks in.

Morning CG! After learning all the twisters going on down that way it makes my roof issues a selfish concern.

A whole town gone. Holy shit. Seems I should watch tv a bit more, or at least the news.

Glad it’s not adding hitting you. Ours should be over by dinner but is nothing ATM.

Got to plug in my phone. To much chatting this AM. 😝 Finger hurts. 🤣

Looking good, that's a full house, I gave mine double bloom nutes yesterday and I'll start with Kool Bloom next week. I also added the second net and bumped my lights to 70%, If they stay healthy I'll give them 75% next week when I add the KB......

What light are you using? Where do you have your power set at? and what nutes do you use?.......questions questions....

seeing as we're on par with our grows I'd just like some comparison info......

I'm still having issues with the Gelato's on my 3rd grow with them,.....yellowing earlier than the rest and I've bumped their food.....its a nice tasty heavy smoke and I know I haven't done the best with them........I can just imagine what I could get if I feed them right....

Im using a spider farmer 5000 in the five by five. I started them out with my power at sixty percent and have edged it up to 90. I will be stopping there as setting it at 95 seems to have caused a bit of light stress.
Two weeks prior to flower, I use a tea, mushroom compost and flower girl top dressing. I do that again within the first week in flower. Throughout the entire flowering process I use seaweed, kelp and molasses. Feeding one time followed by straight water the next. The last two weeks they get straight water, forcing them to use up all the goodies they have stored.
Good luck with those gelatos! I stay away from them as they cause me to want to eat myself out of house and home!
Show me your ladies! 🥰

Thanks, I've 2 SE3000 and an SF600 up front, The SF is within a foot and the 2-SE's about 16" I'll have to lift my lights another few inches if I up the power at all. I use GH synthetics It's easy for me just to follow their feed schedule or what I've remembered it to be , The last time I looked it had changed and I haven't changed with them, I'm still going by my bad memory...........I like the Gelato but I find it a heavy smoke on my lungs, Like a Chem dog heavy......I like but too much is hard on me....

I've my boy Qnight here with me and he's bugging me to take him back upstairs....I'll have to harness him up and take him for a walk

lol he caught a mouse, he's so proud and on the hunt for more, I took this pic of my revegged auto yesterday getting around 4 months old

That's my wife's job, they keep her bound to the chair and she hates to disturb them, 2 of them do walk overs through the night on us maybe a bit of needing on our backs before they lay down......Doesn't bother us at all we love our boys and just make room for them.......retired...no alarm clock getting a solid 8 isn't as important as it once was....

Granny, I hope you’ll share with us an “after” photo from the same angle!

@PipeCarver do you recall where you got those Gelato seeds, or who the breeder is?

Yes and no, I got them from a local hydro shop a year ago as lose seeds $5 each 3 minimum so I bought 3 Gelato, 3 Gsc, 3 PlatinumOG & 3 GG#4.......All have been great I still have clones of all but the PlatOG......I went back for more and they're all out.

Not legit original Gelato but made locally from some guy the grow op guys know....I trust these guys they've been at it and upfront pushing legalization, taking hits and still fighting back for years, banks still won't deal with them ...cash only with an ATM in their shop....

Would be happy too 🙂 I’m three fourths of the way finished. Pop one up for ya this evening. So far I have removed a five gallon bucket full and this is after the second defoil. Have to make this one count as I do no defoil after three weeks in flower.
I’ll take these leaves to a friend tomorrow that feeds them to her rabbits 🙂 Nothing wasted, I lIke that!

my city runs a composting program so it's nice to know that I have a good place for all of my organic waste

I can also pick up free compost from them as well :)

Good Morning CG,

CG, I completely agree, and have done the boiling water trick, when we were in a pinch for a more liquid consistency. Typically I just spoon it out into a shallow glass storage container and we eat it while messing about in the kitchen. A spoonful at breakfast, then one at lunch etc. We like the crystallized honey candy.

And yes, I have read that there is not really a shelf life.. go figure.

My favorite thing is that we are consuming an all natural allergy medication. That is if you get locally sourced honey. The same pollen the bees collect is the very pollen that you are having a reaction too. So it is a natural way to protect yourself and help your body fight off the effects of allergen.

Not sure I said that correctly, so forgive me if it came out wrong. But, I know that you know what I mean. You spoke to it in your original comments regarding honey.

@Mothman
Done, finally! Wish I had originally photographed from the top of the canopy so you could see how it’s now opened up. Each square is now completely open to both light and air. This will get me through the end of flower, and if needed I will tuck the leaves under.
When my flowers hit nine inches tall, I will trellis them. Like tomorrow! Some are way past the nine so I’m behind!

Ours was in March. I forgot and we still had snow. I’ll see if they have another day.

Lovely spring weather we've been having today. Downpours, hail, snow, thunder, lightning and freezing rain.
