You can control node spacing by adjusting your light intensity. More light keeps them compact, less causes a stretching. Too much stretch isn’t good. You’re looking for about 3” between nodes imo. Under feeding can cause short plants too but yours looks adequately fed.
When you start in a big pot like that instead of potting up it takes a lot longer for the roots to establish the whole pot, thus the stunted growth. Could also be your nutes.

They are about in the same stage of development as yours, so I wouldn't worry too much. These are mostly tall strains, so they might be a little taller than yours.
