Hey Ninja! Been wondering about you! Hang in there friend, you got this!
I feel your pain!!!If anyone is wondering where I've been, been busy with school and not much else happening. So haven't been on much, miss you guys
So stressed out lately...
Wish I could figure this openGl shit down for this class. My advisor says this is the hardest class for the program to get my software degree, but that comfort is very limiting.
Anyways, on the upside, the roots in the cloner have never been so white, I put some great white in there a week ago, not sure if it's that or that they were already super white, cause I haven't checking on them lately.View attachment 1348426
I haven't been able to get rid of them locally as much as I would like. Talked to some shops here and they want lab tests before any kind of agreement can be made with regular clone exchanges. Oh well.
They have gotten out of control, and near too big to transfer now anyway. So I decided to flip them and make a sea of green

After taming the jungle, spreading out the plants, and starting the flip, got 20 in there of various strains, so should be exciting. 125 watt cheapo light in a 2x2x4'.
They look a little rough from being handled and being out of the water for a little while, when I did a res change.

Buddy of mine worked at Hughes as an electrical engineer when they were developing the heads up display helmet for the Apache Helicopter pilots.I feel your pain!!!
When I was in school for my AAS for Computer Science, I was enrolled fulltime as a non traditional student and raising two teenagers with my lovely wife. I literally had no life other than school. I did this to maintain a 4.0 out of a possible 4.0. I was 40 years old.
Almost immediately following graduation, I was employed by a leading medical device manufacturer who paid for my BAS in Operations Management. I was working full time and going to school remotely, which is to say that you're basically teaching yourself and being tested by another. No real classes or lectures or much if anything other than "do this and we will test you".
My life was a living hell, as I tried to maintain a 4.0 again. I was only able to accomplish a 3.7.
My lovely wife (43 years this Fall) did much the same. Just a different industry.
Suffice to say...you are doing the right thing.
I was forced to change my career from a technician that built and repaired sonar and radar systems for our military defense systems, then to a hands on machine mechanic, and maintenance mechanic for industrial manufacturing...to a Manager of people and projects all the way up to an Assistant Director, because of horrible injuries that prevented me from continuing in that path of a hands on guy.
I loved my earlier hands on work, but I also enjoyed the last years of my career as well.
Education is actually my savior, as it saved the second half of my career. Without it I am not sure what would have become of my career. Physically, I was unable to continue working with my hands and body as that type of work was impossible at a 40 to 60 hours a week work schedule.
Hell, when I was in my 20s, I worked 7 days a week on a 12.5 hour shift, supporting test beds for the sonar and radar equipment. I would work on other systems in various parts of their lifecycles, before they were ready for the required 24/7 test burn in, while on call for the systems currently in the burn in testing cycle, which could last for weeks or months. If at any time the system fails the test burn in, you start all over again from the beginning.
Anyway, sorry for my lame old man rant.
I just wanted to applaud and support you.
It is not easy. Nothing worth anything is easy.
There was a company in So. Cal. years ago, went by the name of Hughes Air Craft, well, seemed like they were just asking to be called Huge Air Crash, which is how they were known throughout most of Santa Ana and Tustin where I was growing up!Buddy of mine worked at Hughes as an electrical engineer when they were developing the heads up display helmet for the Apache Helicopter pilots.
That's the one. It was the old billionaire Howard Hughes company. There was a company in So. They also used 737 aircraft, painted all yellow, looked like flying bananas.
87°F in Virginia today. Cranking the AC to keep the plants happy. Not that odd for here to be honest, I'm basically in Canada lol... 4 miles from border. One year we got like 2 feet of snow at the end of April.
Sounds like you live close to me, hills, hollers and bob cats! Already done the first mow of the year here. Here, it can be eighty degrees yet Easter eve always finds me covering up tender greenery.Morning all, weather shows more clouds and rain in the hills and hollers coming for a couple days. By then i wont be able to evan see the bob cats in my yard it will be so long lol. Grass gets to long and my handy snake chopper cant get thru the grass. Minor in the big scheme i spose.
Easter morning is looking to be brisk, maybe ill get a cushy assignment inside doing dishes lol
Mornin Chucky!Morning granny! How’s the weather going to be for your shoot?
Good Morning all, still frosty here in the morning although were starting to get into double digits through the day. I should be able to take the snow tires off soon.....Sounds good. Yeah, Frankster is still plugging away on his property up in Washington. Looks like he survived the winter in relatively good fashion! Gotta hand it to him! He’s a resourceful and hardy sob! He said he’s spending a few days in Seattle for some R and R, and to take care of some business. Will try and coax him back out into public! LOL. He’s doing pretty good!
My entire life I have refused to chase balls!Good Morning all, still frosty here in the morning although were starting to get into double digits through the day. I should be able to take the snow tires off soon.....
Off to the range to shoot a few is not something I've ever done. We used to go to the range to whack a bunch of balls but never shoot any......different ranges I guess.
I think Freud might have something to say about that!My entire life I have refused to chase balls!I will without doubt shoot an X though. Make of it what you will! Lmao!
Hmmmmm, ya think that may have been a bit of a slip huh? Lol lolI think Freud might have something to say about that!![]()
