Couldn't agree more, i have the xs1500pro in a 24x24x48 and it really needs to be 60+ inches imo.

@ViparSpectra maybe an idea? Change out your 24x24x48 for a 24x24x60??
My vipraspectre 1500 2023 edition and my previous 1500xs are fine in my 2 x 3 x 72". Light spread is better on the 2023 edition but it flowers out fine either way.

I think the floor space is fine. I have a tent that's the same size--28x28 inches. It has an XS2000 in it.

I'd also advise getting a tent that's tall enough. Mine is 63 inches. I had a shorter tent and decided not to use it. After the light was installed in it, there wasn't much room for the plants.
72 " is almost too short for me as I am spoiled by a Viparspectra 4x4, 2 years old I barely could setup, it's 6 1/2 ft. tent or 80" SS

True. 72" can be short for me, too. I have a 2x4x72 that I'm also using. I was responding to the OP who was asking about using an XS1500 Pro in a 28x28x63 tent. I have one of those, too, and am growing in it for the first time with an XS2000. By the way, I also have a ViparSpectra 4x4, but I'm not using it right now.

Here's a picture of my Spider Farmer 28x28x63 inch tent. I changed how the light is hung since the picture was taken.

I have two Amnesia Haze plants in it now. It's my first grow using this tent. They're doing well so far. So far, it seems like the extra four inches over a 24x24 tent makes a bigger difference than one might expect. It's almost a foot and a half of additional floor space.

For a 2 x 3 would two 1500s running at say 50% be too much? I feel like light coverage and different plant heights may be helped by this. Or is it WY overkill to have 300 watts in a 2' x 3' x 6' tall

They are doing a 50% off on Amazon & then I added the promo code THC15PRO and it ended up saving $60. Can't beat that price for that much light. Get them while there hot πŸ”₯ πŸ˜€

That is a crazy good deal, this light is pretty powerful in a small tent

Yeah I missed out on the 420 sale due to procrastination. So I was definitely happy to see Viparspectra was still running deals. I agree it looks like it puts off alot of light for its size, I'll be throwing it in my 4Γ—4 to add to the mix. Can't wait to see what those lenses can do.
