Something went terribly wrong with indoor plant

It reminds me of all the products sold in all the head shops and bodegas through the years. First it was "legal weed", basically plant matter that sorta looked a little like weed, it was also advertised in High Times. People tried it for a while when there were droughts, or they had to take drug tests. Or CBD carts......more recently delta-8 thc....

That K-2 and Spice stuff.......there were waves of them when they had hard chemicals on them and people would really freak out. In bad ways.....and they woupd go right back to it. There were people who liked it better than weed. I remember actual angel dust. It was a lot like that. Once in the 80s we found a bag of weed. It was brownish, moist, smelled a little minty.......it was weird, but hey, we found a bag of weed......well, we got high on it, but it was different.......was it thai? Then things got weirder, we were kind of spaced out. For a good hour we didn't even speak. It was only after, reflecting on it that I said it must have been angel dust. Good thing we only had a little.

The first time I grew weed, and I'm sure it was like this for many of us, but this was the late 80s, and we couldn't always get weed. I would harvest just enough, way too early. We would microwave it, then do anything else to dry it quickly. It was green, a little nasty, bitter.......but we got high from it. This is besides all the leaves stuffed into bongs....

I went to a random to buy weed and he was probably around 18, he gave me 20 euros of GRINDED weed with WHITE POWDER inside, thanfully I opened it as soon as he gave it to me and I catched him, at first I was angry and he got scared but then it was clear to me that someone was giving him that crap cause they didnt wanna sell them themselves and the dude was clueless. Told him not to smoke that ever and I tossed it to the ground in front of him, I claimed my money back when I was angry but after seeing he was scared and clueless I told him to keep it. I still wonder what it was, fentanyl? angel dust? I have no idea but thats very uncommon around here and it wasnt that many years ago.

Wow that's weird. You'd think why would a dealer want to add something to weed that just makes it more expensive? And, how do they think people won't notice? The only things that would make some sense to adulterate weed with would be some sort of downer.......although in the age of research chemicals, who knows?

That was my first thought when I thought it could be cocaine at first, but its way too expensive doesnt make sense. I really dont know the price of fentanyl or pcp or any kind of those drugs since they are very rare here, never knew someone who did them or sold them. Maybe it was something else, whatever it was there wasnt a lot of it but I could see the powder and I also saw a relatively big chunk of that white substance. Whatever was in there, I wasnt gonna find out hahaha.

I’ve heard it gets added to things because it is highly addictive. The user will buy more.

A guy that worked with me had a girlfriend OD on it. It was mixed in some other crap she shouldn’t have been messing with. Took her life and left her boyfriend a single parent.

I dont know man, it was very suspicious, no one ever sold me already grinded weed and much less weed covered in perlite powder. You wash that off before smoking it, that thing was placed there on purpose Im pretty sure. The guy didnt seem to be very bright, I bet he was selling it of someone else, he almost shit his pants when I ran after him yelling for him to stop, he did, and I believed him when he said he had no idea about what was in there and that it wasnt his. After I saw how clueless he was and the anger dissipated I told him to never touch that stuff again.

That really sucks... Ive heard its really a problem right now in the US and has been for a few years, people taking drugs adulterated with fentanyl and overdosing... even with something "as mild" as xanax, mild compared to what other people take it mixed with.

It could be something as simple as the dry powder that comes inside antihumidity packs, if you smoke a little bit of that you get dizzy, I heard people has been mixing it maliciously before. Maybe the weed didnt give any high or very little and they wanted to salvage it, whatever was in there it was worth it for them to use, but it was disguised very poorly. I bet his "friend" if you can even call him that, was very young aswell, or plain stupid.

It's an opioid like all the others in the sense tgat it's in the same class, just far more powerful. Codeine, Oxy, morphine, dilaudid, heroin, fentanyl........there's even carfentanyl and others that are more powerful than fentanyl. Fentanyl is prescribed in patch form for severe pain. They all have their place, they can all be abused. Since it's so powerful, such a tiny amount is needed, a rather small amount can make an enormous amount of doses, usually pressed into fake pills. Unless it was like 99% cut, if you could see actual powder, it would have been a ridiculous amount. I don't know, I'm vertainly glad you passed up on it, but I'm going with some sort of research chemical that woupd have made it more like Spice or K2, they're just nasty chemicals designed to mimic a weed high but in a bad way. I've seen people freaking out on that crap. Not good.

It's mostly fake pills, oxy and vicodin was all the rage 20+ years ago and people started realizing they could get $20, $40 a pill,.....they cracked down on all of it, but people can get a pill press, buy grams of fent, and make hundreds, thousands of fake pills for like 50 cents each. Benzos too. But get the math wrong and put .01 of a gram in a pill instead of .001......death.

Same kinda thing for heroin. A tiny amount of fent and a lot of cut and you've replaced hundreds of bags of heroin.

Usually shit gets mixed in by accident, especially in Europe where drugs are shitty and transportation is long and hard. Kids also do stupid stuff with weed, I’ve literally sprinkled fruity pebbles dust on weed and sold it as a fruity pebble cultivar, and you said he was 18 so….

Would perlite burn? Isn't it like spun/puffed volcanic rock? It may tolerate a very high heat, but i don't know....

Hello,
I grew a plant inside a 2x2 tent and everything was looking great. Nice buds with cool-looking trichomes and everything. The leaves were starting to dry up as mentioned here so I pulled a lower bud for someone to try and there was no effect. I noticed that there was not much smell except when I watered the plant, then it would smell like pot for a few days in the room then the smell would go away. I have since cut and hung the plant for approx 8 days and after that, a friend tried to smoke some and the bud had very little effect.
I have grown a little here and this is the worst result I've had. On the other side, the bud looked great.

looks like heat or light stress.. there’s lots of red hairs that have curled up onto the bud than a bunch of new white pistils on top..
the heat/light stress and guessing flowering too long caused your terpenes/thc to evaporate away and convert to cbn..

Yeah, in my area they have it laced in everything, people OD nonstop, glad I only smoke nowadays , …. They come out if the hospital and in 2-3 hours the paramedics get called back out again. It’s like that’s the high they chase, near death, it’s insane
