Definitely. I feel like that would be a very intense smoke sesh

Brother, like you said, waaaaaaay ahead of his time. Pragmatism squared. That’s what an open mind sounds like to me. I’m like him, don’t tell me something has to be done a certain way, because if I can imagine it logically, then I’m pretty sure I can figure it out like ol Orson here. Articulate, classy, and goddamned smart.
Yeah I love old Hollywood. As much as I hate Hollywood today, old Hollywood was awesome. I hate "new" movies and the direction Hollywood has gone in the past 30 years. I won't watch anything new. I haven't stepped foot in a movie theater in over 15 years. I have a huge collection of old black and white western movies and TV shows that I watch, from when TV was at least mostly wholesome, not brain rotting garbage that it has become.

I usually don’t either, but I did go see Oppenheimer, and when the movie let out, the sheer amount of people in pink clothes and pink cowboy hats with poofy white brims was let’s say,

Very fucking pink.

Pardon, but man.
Hollywood is a mess these days, all I do is watch older stuff too, unless it’s drag racing.

I watch old star trek and baseball. I like young Sheldon. That show is pretty funny for being a newer show. But other than that I don't really watch TV. Sometimes motortrend too or history when counting cars is on.

I like all the Star Trek shows up until Enterprise, that show was just ok. New Star Trek? I watched like 3 episodes and won't bother trying after that. The first 2 "new" movies they did were pretty good, but seems like it all falls apart after that.

I have quite an impressive collection of old classic TV shows, though, particularly westerns. I absolutely LOVE Rawhide, Maverick, and Cheyenne, probably the 3 best western TV shows ever made. I've got 'em all though, including but not limited to - Wanted Dead or Alive, The High Chaparral, Bronco, Sugarfoot, Bat Masterson, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Tales of Wells Fargo, The Rifleman, Laramie, Branded, F-Troop, the list goes on and on.

The only show I've been trying to get my hands on for years now, and is quite elusive to find - is Death Valley Days. I truly liked Death Valley Days especially because it was based on true stories, old stories that have long been forgotten over time. It seems they tried to bury this show with the rest of history, lately. You can find literally any of the other shows I mentioned above on DVD/Bluray or even some streaming services, but Death Valley Days remains untouched. Can't find it anywhere, not even on torrent or bootleg. I'd pay rather well for a complete DVD collection of Death Valley Days if I could ever find it.

100% picking that man’s brain alone is like a master class in proper linguistics anyways. He could talk to you about dirt and you would still gain perspective 🤣
Absolutely true... lol you gain a lot of perspective about dirt in the cannabis forums too. Begs the question: Alive or dead, real or fiction, who would you smoke a joint with?

Carl Sagan.

That is a fuckin good choice. He would definitely have some great bud. Did you ever read his essay about how cannabis has helped him cope with an "increasingly mad and dangerous world?"

Here is a link if anyone wants to see it:
Ah a studied gentleman. I am familiar. you know about the golden record he blasted into space that has a little bit of info coded on the record itself. And a lot of information on the worlds different cultures and languages as well as binary. Just in case intelligent life happened across the probe somehow. It’s the coolest, I too have a link for ya……

Hey buddy, went searching for that. Happened across a link for the complete first 3 seasons, it was troublesome finding anything past the Reagan years. But they must’ve posted this up recently….

Haha! I appreciate that, but all of my past teachers would disagree.

The golden record is soo cool. Wayy cooler than the tesla Elon Musk has orbiting the Sun.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Its different when you blast a car into space because you can, or basically deliver earths codex to possible interstellar life forms. 🤣🤣🤣 Carl was rad.

And howabout you? Who would you pick?
That's tough. Honestly, your answer makes me want to pick Sagan.

I wouldn't mind smoking some of the real original haze with "the haze brothers." I feel like the real.. super pungent, super tasty.. haze disappeared in the late 90's early 2000's and i'd love to hear a bit more of the history and life stories.

Along those lines.. maybe Sam "The Skunkman" for the same reason.

Which btw my name is on the rover spacecraft on Mars. I entered into a thing with nasa and they inscripted all our names they are really tiny tho.

Yeah, there are some way back growers that are just amazing. Jack herer. Dude was a boss. So I get ya. Right after Carl I would be inclined to start talking to the shanti baba’s of the world. Nice.

I just got bitch slapped in my mind by George carlin. I loved that guy. Almost slipped. He would be in there too.

I forgot to mention I watched legion and firefly. Two really amazingly weird shows I loved.
