Somebody come paint my bedroom for me, please? I fuckin' hate painting. That's my job for today, though. After I go water plants. A fuckin' rainstorm would be nice, too. Is that too much to ask for?

Texas two days ago, I about cried. It felt alien. Ima dance a burnt hippie rain dance and send some of this shit your way. It didn’t last, I may even get 10 blades of grass out of the deal 🤣

As for the labor request, better you than me bud!!!! 👊🏻

I might do some repotting when i get home this evening. Debating going straight into their final 5gal fabric home, or into 1gal plastic as a middle step.

I have 3 Seedlings in the works. Was half expecting some not to pop, but all grew.. lol so i may be tight on space. I also have some 3 gal airpots floating around at home. Total tent is a 2x2x6.

What are everyone's thoughts on plastic vs fabric vs airpots? And do you usually plant direct into the final pot or step them up?

Yeah we've been and will be over 95 degrees every day now for a week, and supposed to stay this way for at least another week, with very little rain in the forecast. We might get an afternoon shower here and there but not enough.

I prefer hard pots just because they're easier to move around they last longer than fabric pots, but I'm old school like that. Also a big fan of up-potting, yes. I think the only time you shouldn't up-pot is if you're growing an auto, otherwise it's one of my key factors for huge plants.

I run plastic pots. I’ve been using them for 20 years. So I just stuck with what I know. I usually go from solo cup to final home, imo it just really comes down to not being heavy handed while they are small so a bunch of water doesn’t sit in the bottom of the pot not getting eaten. Right around week 3 I put them in their final home and start nutrients after the first dry back after repotting.

It’s been crazy hot this year. Everywhere. Brutal.

Oh also I forgot to add I usually start my plants out in fabric pots but they're very small fabric pots, disposable as well. They're about the size of a soda can. Once the plants are over 8 inches or so I put the plant, fabric pot and all, into 1 gallon hard pots and then up-pot as needed, usual routine is 1 gallon, to 3 gallon, to 5 or 7 gallon as final pot, most of the time. Sometimes, if running something that goes longer like a pure sativa, I'll go from the 5 or 7 gallon, either to the ground, or to a 25 gallon pot. All in all, it generally depends on how big of a crop I'm running, how long I'm running it for, and of course if I have enough pots.

It's been pretty hot but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as people are trying to make it out to be. I remember much, much hotter summers in the late 80's and early 90's, but yeah it has been a while since we've seen heat like this.

That makes perfect sense. I'm growing some photoperiod Durban Poison. Might go to the 1gal plastic in that case.

What kinda soil are you guys using?

Changed to this 2 years ago, never looked back. It’s like clouds for your root zone. It’s crazy fluffy, holds water at the proper weight, more than enough goods to keep plants healthy with no amendments all the way through flower. I absolutely love this stuff.
