Bag Seed Grow (Possibly GMONana)

Day 29: Well looks like the plant was able to battle through the no light period relatively unscathed! Just gave it a much needed watering (no nutes, just pH balanced water), so should perk up a bit more.

I haven't decided yet, but either after it dries this time or one more watering (leaning towards this), I'm planning to transfer it into it's final 3gal pot.

Also, the other bag seed I mentioned the other day decided to pop out of the soil this morning. It's got a lil helmet head going on, but should shed the shell shortly.

Day 30: The plant looked like it was recovering fine from the dark period, so decided to transplant into the final 3gal pot today. The root ball looked really healthy, and I was able to transplant without any ripped roots.

The soil in the new pot was already pre-moistened and topped it off with a small amount of pH balanced water. Once it's ready for its next watering, I'll give it another round of nutes.

The two new tops are growing in really nicely and the inside of the plant is finally starting to stretch out a bit. Hoping it'll really start to grow now that it's in it's new home in the bigger pot.

Also wanted to throw in another picture of the new random bag seed that sprouted. Finally lost its helmet head, so hoping it's cotyledons open ip soon!

I like your setup. Just was curious if the Nana part is the same as BBC cuz if so I might want to find some of those seeds for next time!

I'm not 100% sure on lineage - this seed came from an oz bag of some GMONana flower by Find. Not a ton of info online of the strain, I found it's either Banana OG x GMO or Garlic Cookies x Banana Punch.

Definitely start a journal! It's a great way to get some feedback, track progress, etc. Let me know when you create yours, I'll come check it out!

Day 31: I may be overly optimistic, but this is looking more and more like female to me so far. Anybody with a better eye or more experience know? Or is it still to early on?

Day 32: Just a few small updates.

My trellis net came in today, not sure how much I'll be able to use it first time around but figure it'll be fun to experiment with. I've begun to pull the two tops out to the side to help widen the canopy.

Also tested the soil pH today and it's at a healthy 6.3. Still moist and think it'll be good for another day or two yet. Next feeding will be about 75% recommended strength on the FF nutes. Since I've been told and read they run hot, I don't really want to take too many chances with over stressing.

My other bag seed has finally opened its cotyledons, but it's first true leaves are looking a little funky. We'll keep an eye on it and see what happens!

Day 34: Lights just came on in the tent a little bit ago and wanted to check how the plant was doing. Did some more LST work yesterday by adding some clips to the branches. I bought these clips during my last grow but didn't get to use them, so I'm excited to see how they work out!

So far, it looks like the branch has reacted really well to them. I'll probably remove the clips after a couple days, once the branch establishes it's shape more. I'll also probably add some clips to the main tops once they grow out more, but for now I'm pulling them outward with some flexible garden wire.

Overall, I'm really happy to see the canopy starting to really fill out. It should be ready for some nutes in another day or so, so I'm excited to see how much it starts to explode with growth in the bigger pot!

My other little one is not doing so hot, we'll still keep an eye on it and fingers crossed!

From what I've seen people seem to rave about them, and it seems like a simple solution vs tying branches down. Plus seems to brace the stem well, so that the bend isn't too drastic/cause a snap.

For sure, they're pretty cheap. I got like 20 on amazon for <$10. She's looking good and healthy though! I find the training to be one of the more fun parts of the process

Day 36: The soil was finally dry enough that it needed a good watering. I gave the plant some nutes, 5ml/gal Big Bloom and 1.5ml/gal Grow Big, so we'll see how well it reacts.

I also added two more clips onto the main tops to open up the middle more, and as you can see some of those lower tops are really starting to take over!

You'll also notice it's also gotten pretty bushy, and I'm thinking I'll do some minor pruning soon. I'm thinking I'll remove the yellowing first true leaves and clean out some of the smaller branches at the bottom receiving little light.

Day 39: Gave the plant another feeding this morning. Next watering will be just pH balanced water. I've been rotating feeding with nutes twice, washing with pH balanced water once.

Overall growth is looking really good! It's definitely getting super bushy, so most likely going to do some pruning this week to open it up a bit more. Think I may also try cloning some of the cuttings - appreciate any advice as I haven't dabbled in cloning before.

Also took the 4 LST clips off yesterday, since the branches seemed to growing correctly in the corrected position. You can see in the pucture how they fattened up a bit at the bends.

Planning to continue stretching it out wider and will eventually incorporate a trellis net to help further.
