Oh man we had this DS who was on leave for our first 4 weeks of Basic. His name was Drill Sergeant Mitchell. He was this short stocky black dude that talked like a gangster from Atlanta. I'll never forget the morning he showed up

He got on the PA system and said "2nd Platoon! You know who dis is. I'm the devil. And privates? You in HELL".. . . Lmfao.. The dude was over the top, for real.

He used to say "Privates.. They had to kick me out of Iraq.. For killin to many people!" - he said this like every day.

Then one day towards graduation, someone in my platoon asked him "Drill Sergeant, what's your MOS?"

Bruh.. He was a COOK!!!

Yeah, I bet he was killin' too many people!!!

All those tough ass Drill Sergeants turned out to be really cool when we graduated, though. Mad respect for those guys. Drill Sergeants are fuckin hardcore. At least the ones who want to be there, are. The ones who don't are the ones who usually don't give a fuck, cuz they got ordered to DS school and hate their lives

Yea I've had both and I enjoy the ones that let shit slide cuz I was a fuckup.

For example, they go through all the same shit we go through. They are awake and ready before we are, they go to bed after we do, they run right next to us the whole time during PT/footmarches/etc.

Lots of people never stopped to think about that but that shit takes dedication to pretty much be doing Basic Training every damn day of your life

Ok so I just finished watching Batman(2023) and all I gotta say is meh. the end is really cool tho cuz the Joker and the riddler! I was like I love joker! Yes! His only little part was the best part of the whole movie for me. My partner who loves batman thought it was good.
