Because of the peet moss and limestone, I'm not even sure sulfur would lower it. But as it would take months to do I never tried.

@captspailding, that's why I was wondering if you new your soil pH, as your media is also peet and lime. I was curious if I wanted to change media.

I

Yeah considering peet moss is hydro I was thinking the 6.9 was high also and did a bunch of research on how to get it down. I ran 50 gallons of water through the soil at one point in a previous grow and it did nothing but continue to raise the runoff PH with every gallon. My runoff pH ended up getting up of 8 pH. That's when I invested in a soil pH meter. That helped a lot. Then I did more research on lowering pH and came up with adding sulfur, and something else, but this is a slow process that needs to be done months before you start the grow.
whats your tap water ph come out at pilted, if its say 7.0 just add nutrients it will lower there fore even if your soil ph is 6.9. the plant will get the nutrients it need when you water with a lower ph if that helps.👍

No I don’t run peet buddy, I run fertilome ultimate potting soil. Zero amendments. No top dressing.

When I was testing my pH I would always need to add pH down after adding ferts my pH of my water after adding ferts in 7.5 ish.

Never test ph. Haven’t in years. I never water to runoff either.

idealy be better if your tap ph where lower, calmag normally will drop ph for me. could try adding your ph down first before your nutrients. i personally just add nutrient to lower mine.

Yeah I have tried messing with the PH in the water feed, it doesn't change the soil pH at all. I have done a lot of testing in this area and nothing I did made any difference in the soil pH.

Yeah man, after all these years I just have a system that works for me. Let’s say, I stopped getting bogged down in the details long ago, because the amount of issues of any I run into, are little to none you know?
High airflow, 1/2 dose nutes every feed. No runoff. Light defol full blast lights. Basically set and forget nowadays bro. Sorry I don’t have the answer. I’m over here oblivious to my own dirt and shit. I’m cracking up about it writing this. Hahahaha

Your good, no reason to check unless you got problems, I completely understand, but your media is cheaper then promix and almost the same exact thing, so when I run out of this bag of promix I was planning on trying yours.

I’ve actually gotten a few homies here to make the jump, ff soil is good and all, but it causes issues, so my dirt vendor gave me the low down, and steered me towards a better, cheaper soil. It’s like clouds. The amount of air it allows I. Is really badass. All stages of growth it comes through. You won’t regret it at all homie 👊🏻🤡 5 years later not a single problem……

What size pot and roughly how many days between watering with that media? I really don't like to water more then once a week so that was something I was debating on when I was thinking about switching.

Well I water once every 4 days with nutes every feed. But if you water to runoff it will be longer than that. Now I generally run cup to 1 gal to 3 and finish in that. Or if I’m mothering or going bigger I step up to fives and 7s depending on vigor. Sometimes I stall out plants in smaller pots until I have space for them. So really every damned size under the sun up 20 gallon totes. Generally across the board every 4 days is the goldilox zone for me here.

I just remembered you asked me that question last week when I was super busy…..
Bro sorry I forgot to answer you. My bad…..👊🏻

Every 4 days on a 3 gallon, okay so I'm at about 5-7 days in a 3 gallon pot, I run 7 gallon pots just to my watering times a little longer. That media probably has a little more perlite then promix does, but that sounds doable if I stick to the 7 gallon pot. Thanks for the info that helps me a lot.

Your good brother, I don't expect.anyone to be at my beck and call. You explained you were super busy, that's more then most. And I just asked again and got an answer. Sounds legit to me.
