I don’t know how beneficial this topic will be but I’m hoping I can learn for my future grows.

What has been your most wasteful purchase? Something you bought expecting to use but never did, something you bought and only used once, something that didn’t do what it was supposed to do, etc…

I’m a new grower so I don’t know what that purchase is yet, I’m sure I’ll make a few..

As a new grower, it took some time for me to figure out how many plants to grow and what style of growing would be best for me. So, having discovered I grow better in smaller tents, I have a 4x4 tent that has been in storage for a few years along with two lights in boxes. I also have unused liquid nutrients because I learned that I like dry nutrients better.

I might use the 4x4 tent again. It's tempting, but I need to clean out the storeroom to make a place to use it. That room is also damn hard to cool when the weather gets hot. Those lights in the boxes would work with the 4x4 tent, so there's still some possibility I might use it again. I have this notion of growing one huge plant in that tent. I've seen it done, but I'm not sure my skill level is up to that yet. It's nice to have a spare light in case one of the lights I'm using fails. I use the liquid nutrients occasionally when I think a plant could use a quick feeding. It could take years to use all that I have, though.

hey RGWD0202! This is a great question to ask! For me, Being newer to the indoor scene it helps weed out some of the unnecessary expenditures and wasting of time! Ill be fallowing this thread! Thanks for posting!

The one thing I have for you at this point in time is just get the red solo cups for starting lol. my family and I do our yearly veggie gardens and have a lot of little pots and what not lying around. I tried using those and really didn’t like it. I think the solo cups give you a longer growing time in the seedling stage without out growing the container. this is my theory : ) anyone else feel free to chime in or correct me to why you all use red solo cups!? Haha

I was just going to make a post about this!!!! Seriously lol! But I cant figure out how to make a new post! I made an intro to this site but can’t find the make a new post button.

This piece of shit!
I didn't know shit about leds.
It said 600watt and I thought that sounds like it would grow a few plants.
Worst part I paid 100 bucks.

Ya I hate these cheap ass lights... I knew never to get them.... but feel it should be illegal to sell to new growers who don't know better....

I always say your lights are the most important aspect to growing and never want to skimp on that aspect...
