Paid $300+ on a Phototron waaay back in the early 90's and quickly realized that my money would've been better spent on a good MH or HPS. Lesson learned.

I second thatA soil moisture meter.....
There you go, brother! Made the step up from inconsequential to barely consequential expenses!
Thanks for all the input, some great information from this thread. Had everything from a $10 moisture meter to a $1.2mill blueprint error. Definitely helps for future grows! This too![]()
Hahahahaa, dammit man. There you go, brother! Made the step up from inconsequential to barely consequential expenses!![]()
Agreed 1000%mammoth P
used it for a years and a half and didn't really notice any difference with and without.
Pricey so i no longer use it
I would suggest piecing your own kit together... I feel all the "kits" are overpriced with lower end lighting...Iโd vote my most unnecessary purchase was this gimmicky indoor grow cabinet by SuperClosets. I was sold by the discrete appearance, except it isnโt discrete at all. Itโs loud af with the exhaust fans and yeah, it isnโt worth $2500. The hydroponic system only holds 3โ net cups. 16 of them. What happens when the plant grows?
The Kind X330 LED light that came with it seems decent but I have no basis of comparison. It took a shit but they sent me a replacement at no charge to me.
I think Iโll try the AC infinity tent system next go.
If it was useless, which they really are, then I can see it. Bilber is on point if that's his biggest waste. I never use mine either they are so dumb and just rust if you leave them in the dirt. I think I would have to say fish shit, I got a small one and never noticed a difference, Greta white and recharge are A plus though, mammoth p is VERY SITUATIONAL, and the microbes have a shelf life of one year, straight from the owners mouth, so if you get an old bottle they are all dead. Also you need to go over the amount recommended in soil to get it to penetrate and you better add some sugars, they like in a proper organic soil that doesn't have microbes that eat the mammoths p.microbes either. I can see a tiny sample bottle to boost rooting a couple times during the grow but outside of that it's completeTHAT, for about $10, was your most wasteful purchase?![]()
DISCLAIMERDon't forget... bottled water is a waste too

what land race varieties have high tolerance to lead again?![]()
They're not supposed to be left in the soil. They should be removed and wiped dry after each use, and kept dry while not in use.If it was useless, which they really are, then I can see it. Bilber is on point if that's his biggest waste. I never use mine either they are so dumb and just rust if you leave them in the dirt.

Get that growler full in ya!I was just reading about removal of heavy metals from soil, now I can't remember what I read. I'm not even stoned yet. What's that I hear? Could it be the coffee pot finishing? Ah, the nectar of the gods...
