I don't like anything about that woman. How is she doing it. America is letting that pass as hit music. My daughter said she likes Taylor swift. I still look at her a little different now. But to each there ownWord on the streets is this was the result of a taylor swift song.View attachment 2114037
I'll have the Northland covered someday.Let's get to building it brother
Facts, Rome wasn’t built In a day. But by many.Let's get to building it brother
I didn’t have any hope for hip hop for a long time, puffy came out and over saturated the market with more pop appeal music and left the doors wide open, 94 was the beginning of the end. Qtip predicted that hip hop was going to turn into a more marketable form of music like R&B, this came true. So much good music went underground and never saw the light of day, radio airplay was always a bit shaky unless you tuned into college radio stations that didn’t play commercials. As time moved forward into the early 2000’s I started to branch out musically speaking, opening up to roots reggae, alternative, folk, jazz, soul, funk classic rock, contemporary, country, appellation high ground Willam music, aka bluegrass, and jam bands and more. I caught a lot of traction with the jam bands and started to really appreciate live music and the experience of being at these shows. The days of underground hip hop clubs with the overwhelming threat of violence constantly in the air hardened my exterior, stepping on someone’s shoes could literally get you killed. I developed a crippling sense of social anxiety that I used copious amounts of alcohol to try and subdue, all the while making fights and violence more of a possibility due to my drunken stupor. I didn’t realize at the time what the problem was. Hip hop had taught me to listen and observe and be a critical thinker, to question society and its fucked up norms, that respect was given to those who earned it, but the audience, myself included had lost the principle message. Well at some point my cousin had convinced me to go see a band called Moe. I begrudgingly accepted, what I experienced as a red to accepting that invitation was life changing. I had the fucking time of my life, I went full retard and was farting in the perverbial bathtub. No one was angry, no one took themselves too seriously, no one gave a fuck If you accidentally stepped on their sneakers and half of these mother fuckers weren’t even wearing any shoes. I often wonder why anyone would go barefoot though….pretty gross. This definitely opened my eyes, I didn’t reject hip hop, but I did gain a different perspective that I couldn’t have without giving it a little distance. Gone were the days of backpackers with black books filled with beautiful graffiti art, break dancing, mc battles that ended with respect and handshakes, not fights and ambulance rides. Dj’s who lugged crates of records have been replaced with serato and laptops with 13,000 tracks on a hard drive. I am proud to have been a part of something great, and to be able to relate with some of you on this level makes me even prouder. I think if Jerry Garcia had spent some time listening to hip hop music and immersing himself into the culture, he never would have said that rap wasn’t music. But so often is the case that mainstream music and music are quite often confused and considered one in the same. That just means we are old and not cool anymore. Been used to it for a while.
You should peep some of them though.
She’s a bad influence. I understand all her songs are about break ups. I have probably never heard a song of hers. I don’t watch television and no pop radio station is ever going to get any play in my car. I just recently was forced to see her picture for a few weeks straight when I open a new tab at work. I have to say she’s not even pretty. I would actually say I think she’s on the ugly side.I don't like anything about that woman. How is she doing it. America is letting that pass as hit music. I agree bro. Never heard a song from her I liked. She's to thin for me. Some like that I guess but she's not that pretty and she can't sing. Weird how the world worksShe’s a bad influence. Anyone who’s ever been on Landsdown street after a Red Sox vs Yankees game has probably witnessed some brutal bearings.Different level serious. When the eagles were the shit a few years ago. I read in the paper that eagles fans were whooping other teams fans asses. My grandma rooted for the sorry ass Vikings like than. People were afraid of Philly home games. I've not been to many places that scared me. Seems like if the football fans in Philly are that rugged. Imagine how the real criminals are.
He’s got the right idea, dark sunglasses in a dark night club dancing like no one’s watchingMan that little dude can come party at mine anytime little legend gettin down with all them ladies

I saw those cats shooting each other. Those Hmong brothers are tough as hell. I used to play football with them guys suprisingly strong for being smaller dudes. Don't like being called Chinese at all. I got a lot of respect for the hmongs they lived like my people. 15 ppl in a two bedroom. I tried to talk to Hmong girls they don't fuck with nobody but there people. I knew some mod brothers. Bonsa called him bone saw he was facing federal charges for getting caught with machine guns. Good dudeI know Frog town well. Stayed by McDonough projects and on Northside Minneapolis for a minute. I'm in the MOD gangland episode, most of the younger cats were guys I recruited and dude the escaped Y.A. here and fled to MN was my best friend.
My buddy introduced me to these guys, lyrics are tight@Dadman86 @2Water @MartyMcFly42oh
So I went down a rabbit hole trying to find anything from nowadays that was what I look for In mcs and I came across these kids from Philly. This shit is certified
The record labels have so to speak genetically edited the critical thinking from music. I have read some stuff about the modern synthetic music has effects on the brain. Personally that mumble wrap that came out is absolutely laughable as music. I can’t understand. Ice Cube just recently said that the 90’s gangster rap was intentionally trying to influence a certain type of violent culture. Those aren’t his words but that’s what my interpretation is.I didn’t have any hope for hip hop for a long time, puffy came out and over saturated the market with more pop appeal music and left the doors wide open, 94 was the beginning of the end. Seen these guys too, I think I’ve got a black book that Imani tagged for me somewhere. My mind is running……
That's deep brother. Jay z is washed up and Beyonce sucked since she left destiny's child. Money can make the lame popular. Good music is getting harder to find. The record labels have so to speak genetically edited the critical thinking from music. The B eye g and p a c murders have the sea I a written all over them which brings me to Aaliyah plane crash. Way better than Beyoncé. Suddenly jay z is the king of rap and beyonce is the queen of pop. They become rich and puff richer yet he didn’t have anyone with the talent or popularity of big. Later on they end up pals with the guy in the white house.
Seen em too much love for the west coast underground that went against the grain and choose skills and originality over hardcore gangster rap, don’t get me wrong I fucking love Ice Cube, da lynch mob Dre and Snoop too, but credit is due to those who inspired to go against the grain too. This sums up the vibe this morning
