How can I support the Y shaped branches so they donโ€™t break
IMG 5381

This is what I did to distribute the stress at the โ€œYโ€

I've had plants split down the stalk an inch or so. They still flower and finish fine. However, that will be a vector for possible diease/infestation. Avoid this in the future by growing the plant to the 5th or 6th node then bending the top down and pin it close to the soil. All the branches will become tops and you avoid 90% of the stress.

Should I try and cover that middle โ€˜woundโ€™? Piece of tape or something?

Definitely will try the bending technique, thought topping would be easier than I made it be ๐Ÿ˜ญ

As long as she is healthy it shouldn't be an issue. She has her own defenses. But if she is underfed, under attack by insects, or having nutrient issues, then she may need you to bandage it with grafting tape or something similar. I've heard of people using honey but that sounds scary to me.

I used to top heavily, sometimes ending up with 30 tops before flipping. But I developed a love for short wide plants where all colas are the same height from the light. Most times I use a screen for a scrog, but outside I do the bend and pin tech.

I think itโ€™s just a matter of personal preference! If you live in mold country, then topping is probably the better option! Nothing wrong with either way! You can probably even combine the two if you have A notion! Outdoor pot Plants arenโ€™t very choosy!

Okay, thanks. Iโ€™m happy with a healthy plant either way, but Iโ€™m 6โ€™4 and would love one I could see eye to eye with ha

wait mold country?

Glad to see you got it sorted but the burning question surely is...what are E, F and G?

Can you crack the code for us? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fair enough, I think they'll be fantastic and look forward to seeing what occurs. ๐Ÿ˜Š
