How can I support the Y shaped branches so they donβt break
Here is what I do with cut down tomatoe cages combined with training. This gives support to all the branches.View attachment 2179844

Should I try and cover that middle βwoundβ? Piece of tape or something?I've had plants split down the stalk an inch or so. They still flower and finish fine. However, that will be a vector for possible diease/infestation. Avoid this in the future by growing the plant to the 5th or 6th node then bending the top down and pin it close to the soil. All the branches will become tops and you avoid 90% of the stress.
As long as she is healthy it shouldn't be an issue. She has her own defenses. But if she is underfed, under attack by insects, or having nutrient issues, then she may need you to bandage it with grafting tape or something similar. I've heard of people using honey but that sounds scary to me.Should I try and cover that middle βwoundβ? Piece of tape or something?
Definitely will try the bending technique, thought topping would be easier than I made it be![]()
I think itβs just a matter of personal preference! If you live in mold country, then topping is probably the better option! Nothing wrong with either way! You can probably even combine the two if you have A notion! Outdoor pot Plants arenβt very choosy!Should I try and cover that middle βwoundβ? Piece of tape or something?

Okay, thanks. Iβm happy with a healthy plant either way, but Iβm 6β4 and would love one I could see eye to eye with haAs long as she is healthy it shouldn't be an issue. She has her own defenses. I used to top heavily, sometimes ending up with 30 tops before flipping. But I developed a love for short wide plants where all colas are the same height from the light. Most times I use a screen for a scrog, but outside I do the bend and pin tech.

California is definitely not mould country so fear not! Well at least it shouldn't bewait mold country?
Theyβre all bag seeds I want to keep track of, so they all got letters ha.Glad to see you got it sorted but the burning question surely is...what are E, F and G?
Can you crack the code for us?![]()
