My time spent outdoors was a labor of love! Of course we had river days almost every day but god damn if you let your guard down for a second up there a whole VW bug sized plant can get smoked from bugs or whatever! And thats dealing with shit that is somewhat in your control hahaha. I have faith in your awareness and intuitiveness towards your plants. Do you do any pre treatments for pests? I guess that would be a little closer to flower.
I'm trying to strengthen the plants with TPS silica and regular feeding and watering. I've also planted chamomile and dill for the beneficials. (It's tough to watch your plants fill up with bad bugs and not do anything about it, but the good guys need something to eat and I've faith in the system.)
I've covered all soil with grass clippings to prevent splashing and I'll start a mold prevention spraying program as soon as I figure it out.

CRAP!! Mosquitos are buzzing the window this morning! Thought we had a couple weeks yet. Damn this climate change.

Honestly not much at all !! I do dust em with sulphur powder for about the first month or so. Seems to help em out later on with any kind of mold or mildew issues. But other than that I let mother nature take care of em. Been piling leaves n grass clippings in my garden for about 15 yrs. LOTS of worms under those leaves. I wasn’t gonna do any outside this year but you have inspired me to toss a couple out there.plus I have a few empty spots since the rabbits ate a few tomato plants

Pretty sure it was rabbits although I didn’t actually see them. They were real small plants n whatever it was just bit the tops off and left em. I’ve never had a problem before either but something got em 😂😂😂😂 oh well they made room I guess !! Other lil’ plants will most definitely be gettin a chicken wire dome

Transplanted the first batch. I know, I know, I'm not supposed to transplant AUTOs. Too bad. 😝
Ended up with :
1 CBD Cookies
2 Lowryder
4 G13
4 Critical Gorilla Glue
4 Pure Red CBD

Lettem rock it’s go time.

The girls are looking good.
Unfortunately Blood, Milk and Sky looks like she's starting to flower. I'm leaving her and Frostberry to finish where they are, as part of the 12.
Most impressive to me is the size of LAX's leaves! And they still have 3 weeks before the Summer Solstice!
And the compact shape of Angel '98, so pretty!

yeaaaa thats lookin a little bit more then just ready and eager to go into flower lol. With that structure though, if she stays flowering i bet youll still pull a pretty good yield off her. Your plants have ridiculous amounts of bud sites for un topped plants this young.

Such gorgeous ladies 😍

That skystone has a certain look to her leaf ridges and serrations that catches my eye pretty hard. She's low key my favorite.

Thanks much, but I forgot the pic of LAX.

That is one of the kushiest looking plants ive seen in a minute 🤤

Im a total sucker for those afghani lookin leaf ridges

There's a majesty about the look of those plants that no other lineages have. They kinda have an "old and wise" look/vibe about em to me as well.

You know, about now I'm grinning from ear to ear and feeling smug about how good the plants look and are growing.
But I saw a few chew marks from leaf hoppers, and the preventative mold spray needs to start soon....
And I think I'm going to top the 12 (except the flowering) and lean the 'extras'.

Now I have to figure out where/when to top. hmmmm....

I am all about auto abuse 🤣 I might grow one just to constantly transplant the fucker. I hate those things ✌️

Cute and manageable yes. But capable of, much like wild hemp, ruining years of work overnight with a couple stray pollen grains when you least expect it?

Yea they can do that doo lmao. Unexpected autoflowering DNA is becoming more common these days. Especially in the mid west. So are unexpected industrial hemp crosses as more states allow the cultivation of it, rather then import..

Some pockets and populations of wild ditch hemp have also developed autoflowing characteristics as well. Probably from autoflower pollen slowly being introduced to them, or maybe even just because they are naturally selecting so far north now.

This is my own a-hole, closed minded, paranoid perspective, and it's definitely a crappy, douch-baggy perspective... But i would have preferred if autoflowers had never been developed for domesticated cultivation. 30-50 years from now, they probably have ruined most, if not all outdoor photoperiod lineages, assuming escaped wild industrial hemp hasnt by then already. It's already almost totally impossible to breed cannabis in Iowa, and Missouri, because of all the wild industrial hemp pollen.

if you grow your outdoor produced seed from a photoperiod grown in Minnesota, Montana, or Iowa, pretty much all of the seeds will be autoflowering and half industrial hemp, and essentially completely useless for anything but paper and rope, but also wont be big enough for that either. Like, definition of most useless cannabis plants possible to create lol. You will also have lots of these seeds in your flower out there too. And theres literally nothing that can be done about that if you choose to grow outdoors. Its just a process thats already started, and will continue hindered or not.

Theres lots of people up north breeding autoflowers outdoors. This is a horrible, horrible, terrible idea. It's honestly destroying the future of USA grown outdoor cannabis slowly and steadily. They are pollen chucking autoflower pollen in the presence of wild industrial hemp.

Im a bit of a doom and gloomer when it comes to autoflowers and industrial hemp. There's a bigger picture behind this that most people dont ever even think about lol.

How old are they usually when you transplant them and what pot sizes? Do you transplant more than once? How do the roots look when you transplant as far as filling the space up?
