Surprise, surprise, damn japanese beetle grubs had infested it, so I removed the hated critters. (In a red Solo cup.)

I've not seen any of those types of beetles here? They look nasty those grubs but i bet the trout would love them🀣
Only East of the Rockies. The grubs are very similar to other scarab beetle larvae.

Anyone who gardens are familiar with these grubπŸ˜‰

I also use that Safer BT and Capt. Jacks. I really have not found anything buggy going on with my weed plants yet. My potato leaves are chewed to hell but i've also harvested some of those already. The taters looked great just leaf got attacked. Now since last fall i planted 6 lavender and 4 russian sage plants all around the perimeter of my backyard and have some babies of sage also that are in the nursery for now. I'mma kinda thinking maybe this has helped? I guess will see later as the bloom happens, but my current 2 bloomers not a damn thing buggy with them.

AND....2 weeks later.
Overcast day, not the best for picture taking.

And my adventures continue...
The porch plants are all Autos, or so I thought.
Now I understand messing up lighting and having a photo bloom early, but how did I mess up enough to turn an Auto into a Photo? 2 in second photo
I started all of these within 1 week of each other.

Still in love with Frostberry. That plant is one big bud 🀭
That Afghan looks fantastic 😍

and what kind of photos are among autos? πŸ˜‚ they both look similar
The photos are in the second pic. They don't have any flowers, just lots of leaves.
They're called CBD Amnesia. I bought those seeds along with a bunch of CBD heavy Autos.
ALL of the Autos have flowers, but not the leafy ones.

Some autos freinds have run get pretty big before they flower outside. Some have looked like little green corndogs growing out of a pot. they could still def be autos, ive def seen a few get that big before flowering.
Some autos can revert too. You sometimes wont get 100% autoflowering character in 100% of the seeds so far as i know.

Those do absolutely look like young photos though. But i have def seen 6 foot autos with friends before too. In kc i saw autos bigger then my photoperiod clones a time or twice.

Keeping an eye on that Beryl system? I looked to check for my neck of the woods, but I think you just got put in/near the 2-3" of expected rain zone. Im all clear, tennessee usualy doesnt dodge the flooding from the gulf hurricanes. But guess it's the midwest's turn.

Wonderful.... not.
I'm more concerned with high winds. The plants in the weedy 'extras' bed don't have any support except themselves.
I suppose it's a good test.

i just had the thought since you have autos budding right now. Theres no reason to test the rot and mold resistance on a plant you cant grow again from clone anyway in my head. Didnt even think about the winds honestly 🀣

Citric acid is a godsend for preventing bud rot and PM ;)

Theres several mixes you can make with baking soda, lemon juice/citric acid, and/or h202 that will completely prevent powdery mildew and bud rot. Is worth spraying before bad rains hit. If you add a light plant safe soap/surfactant it coats very well and also kills insects while repelling them after. It's the only things i even spray in flower personally. Can use it up to harvest too, and just dip and swoosh your branches in some water and shake off before hanging to dry. Does nothing to smell appearance or flavor. Even when ive forgot to wash branches before drying, still didnt notice anything really undesirable about the buds. Hoping itll keep problems for me at bay if im treation periodically during the busy fall season at the club that is usally quite wet too.

Just did a little reading, and if you dont want to kill insects directly, especially your predators, you can make a citric acid/yucca extract solution. The yucca will work as a surfactant instead of soap to spread the citric acid evenly. Once it dries following with a baking soda solution will make it even more effective (allegedly) Would also produce c02 right at the leaves of the plant lol (i think, but also think it would neutralize a bit too, its just what i read lol)

Thats handy, i have yucca all over my property lol

are you leaving them in the bags or planting near 12? :D
I'm leaving them in the bags near the porch. Hoping that the bags, 7 gallon, will limit their size and I can train them to stay small. (but not too small)
The days are getting shorter so I'm also hoping they start flowering soon.
Skystone out back is the only one not showing flowering yet.

All my larger photos are Bluberry Muffin and they are really stacking up for preflowering. My hotdog autos are really testing my patience. I fed them bloom for the last time i told myself today. Most all of them have rusty hairs now what there are of them LOL. Sorry that your gonna get abit of wind & rain better than what were getting in Oregon.

Do you look at the trichomes? What color are they? I try to get at least 30% amber before I harvest, but it depends. If I see mold or we have more than 2 days of rain, it's a guarantee and I will chop. Lost too many to it.

A couple of years ago I went away for two weeks and when I came back my son had watered all the autos every day. One was completely brown with rot top to pot, and he thought it was normal. Aakkkkk πŸ™ It was Charlotte's web. πŸ™πŸ™

We are getting some warmer weather, in the mid to high 80's and high humidity. Summer!
The end of July through the middle of August are usually our hottest and most humid days.
Nothing like you have to battle. Hope your temps. drop to more comfortable levels. πŸ™‚
