Its true that low humidity will burn the shit out of plants, as I have had my fair share of low humidity burn. If the temps are in the right range (70-78) you probably won't see too much of an issue at 30-40% rh but if temps get above 85 and <30%rh you're gonna get major stomata closure and burned ass fan leaves quick, the longer the heat and low rh, the more burn. The bud will remain and intact but you risk burn even through the bud. Resin production does increase but not enough to be beneficial, low yield is then an issue. I would agree that 50% rh at 78 or lower is a good rule but I would say 65% at 70 -75 is perfect for my room and the plants respond favorably at that. Bud is easy as hell to manicure after you burn all the fan leaves off but I don't recommend it lol:android:
Damn this thread is old as hell but I am experiencing exactly what you were saying right now! I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing the burn and I thought low humidity in flower was the right call… You are ahead of your time sir LOL!

I'm so glad i spend 2 nights reading this old 'zombie' thread as the trials and inputs on it have been just what i wanted to find more info on in regards to high rh environments. I run in a large propogator and run up to 75% @30c and it's like a turbo machine to me. These old threads have some great follow ups and updates, don't kill the zombies man 😀

No offense but super cleaning your room isn't going to save u from Pm cause PM is always in the air , it's when you have bad air flow is when your plants will systemically be infected , The reason I say this is because I can greenhouse plants survive even with dense buds? Yes! It's when your plant cannot protect itself is when have issues, stale air is ur biggest enemy . Shit I can/have ran greenhouse and indoors at 60-70 all the way through with tons of airflow (65-75f) with zero issues. If you see mould, it's already colonized and that's just a sign ur in big shit. Eagle20e your crop before 12/12 and keep airflow consistent . I laugh at how many crops I see online that have a huge amount of plants in one room with little or no fans . How do you not expect failure In less its popcorn airy buds.

When people act like molds should be treated like something like voodoo. Read about it and find out that hey maybe you can grow plants in a semi humid environment and not get bud rot or pm if you keep ur room with consistent fresh air and movement. Plants love it at 55-70% and I haven't seen mould in over 2 years both indoors and out .
My 3x3 is at 76 degrees and a RH of 67% I have an 6" incline air system and a fan at the bottom of the tent my plant seems to be doing fine. The reason my RH went up was due to 3 more 4 gal pots I put in there for new baby's. I'm currently in week 4 flower.

Depends on the bud size, big tight kolas rot easy I've found out the hard way.

70% @ 70° F for the win. I diffuse a blend of rosemary, lemon, eucalyptus, clove, and cinnamon oils to kill all airborne pathogens. Never seen botryitis or any other mold since I've used the essential oils. PM does not depend on humidity to manifest, it prefers big temperature fluctuations.
Google "VPD" for some fun reading, or find the thread her on the farm.
I've had excellent consistent results since I became aware of vapor pressure deficit in my grows.
PM actually prefers low humidity to form, my flower tent averages 75-83f and 50-60%RH, at lights out my tent is 65-70% rh at 73-74f

Last run I was hittin 75% week 6-7, was impossible to get it lower, had a great harvest no loss

I've never had any issue with PM indoor, outdoor in the ohio black swamp area my cucurbitaceae are destroyed by it, never grown outside, but now its legal so I'm running 3 landrace Acapulco Gold volunteers in compost, no PM yet but its been dry & it tends to hit when it gets muggy so I will see, I find it hard to believe weed is so susceptible to PM its so un cucurbitaceae like but it obviously seems to be a thing. 🤷‍♂️

Not to mention if you are using Caps Packs which kills just about anything without the nasty effects of Chemicals used to get rid of mold and PM.
A little late to the chat but what are caps packs please?
I'm stuck at 65% mid flower and i cannot be f'ed with noisy greedy dehumidifiers

Try some NEEM OIL diluted with a little soap in a spray bottle
