Does anyone have any experience with these slow release fertiliser sticks?

Here is my problem!
So far I have only used rain water and various liquid fertilisers for my outdoor balcony grow, now I must leave the plants unattended for around 3-4 weeks which will probably be at the start or in the flowering phase. The only solution I can thinking is a watering system on a timer (unfortunately tap water) and using some of these fertiliser sticks of which I’ve found various NPK types that might work.

I’d like to know if anyone has tried this and what effects and results it had, it’s not ideal but I have no other ideas without a big investment to pump water up from the rain water container and then still no guarantee that I have enough water there to see me through.

Any thoughts?

here is one that works - "GrowDots" you mix them in when you make your soil and good till harvest - just add water and maybe any other additive's (Perpinator. Terpnator -Boosters, ect) also if anyone cultivates outdoors the "dots" work very well FYI

They sound great! Not sure if I can add it at a late stage but will look into it, thanks for the info! 👍

For an easy solution use grow dots they are not organic though just FYI.

Can you top dress with terp tea bloom or something dry organic? Doesnt that have a slower uptake? Then drip?

Yes I did a whole grow start to finish with Jobes plant spikes on a romberry plant a few years ago, I recall it went well but I had to correct with Cal/mag a few times. When I get a minute I'll find it and link to it

That’s exactly what I’d like to do! I just need to find something that will last 4 weeks, that’s what made me think of the fertiliser sticks, I’ll have a look at terp tea bloom! Thanks 👍

Thanks that would be great, sounds very promising! As soon as I’m back I’d take the sticks out and do things manually again. Unless they look really good! 👍

Here you go friend, if you have any questions you can always catch me at 'the beach house' thread

Yep, craft blend, gaia green, dr earth, there are a lot of blends you can use.
Thanks a lot! I’ll check them all out!👍

Thanks a lot! It’s great that you documented it all and I very much appreciate it! 👍
I have ordered my automatic watering system and will get this up and running now so I can tweak it a bit and get it correct, then I’ll wait until 2 weeks before I go away and see if the girls are starting to flower and order the corresponding NPK sticks! It’s still a little worrying to leave them unattended for so long but nobody will die if it goes wrong! (Well maybe a part of me dies with the girls but only until the next season).
