Hey all, I think I have a love hate relationship with my ladies! Why is this only happening to 2 plants?

They look over-fed (clawing, tip burn) and over-watered (leaf texture). Ocean Forest is a heavily amended soil. I usually get three to four weeks out of a properly-sized pot before I have to feed. Also, OF holds onto water pretty hard. I water OF to runoff, only when the pots are very light. Over-watering is watering too often, not giving too much water at once.
OK man so I finally got them down to around 900 ppmā€˜s on my autos. I’m not even gonna say what they were! LMAO. I’ve looked everywhere for this answer, so I didn’t bug you, but I can’t find it! Our auto flowering ppm’s the same as regular plants? Around 800–900 for late veg? 1000-1150 for flowering? I’m wondering if I stunted them and their just not gonna do any good. Thinking about just cutting my losses and starting over without FF. ! I want to be the one giving them nutrients.

In FF soils, I don't split hairs with feeding. When runoff gets anywhere near 900, I transplant (veg), or feed 600 ppms the next watering (flower). I try to have 1,000 ppms in the pot two weeks before chop.

Gotcha. I need to find out how many ppmā€˜s are in a gallon of water with the nutrients that I am putting in there. Can I just put a gram of each into a gallon of water and test the ppm? I wasn’t sure about the ratio of ppm’s. I can scale it from there if that would work.

I think I would have to just put a gram of Cal – mag in a gallon and the other phosphate nutrient that way too? That way I will find out exactly how much Ppm’s each one of them are. Correct? I failed science in high school. LMAO.

That's what I did...1 ml of each of my nutes and supplements in a gallon of RO water. If you don't have RO, just make sure to check the ppms of the water before you add whatever you're measuring. I know you're using different products, but here's the chart I made for the stuff I was using.

Gotcha. That clonex solution is great stuff man. I also use that and I just read a bunch of good stuff on flora combinations. I might give that go next time. Thanks buddy.

Thx for replying. I’m throwing the moisture meter in the pond! lol I did bump there prosperous up a little on there last feed. So you think I should just go back to what I was feeding them and let them dry out? I’m only giving them 1/2 of what the bag says for that very reason šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
If it’s one of those one or two prong moisture/ph meters, it belongs in the trash, they are notoriously inaccurate for both moisture and PH. (ask me how I know).

lol, sounds like me and you have something in common! I can pretty much tell when they need watering just by the looks and weight when I pick them up but am still on the lookout for one that’s atleast consistent! Gotta any recommendations?

I dont think theyre getting enough light to burn through all that feed. Is that an HLG lighting plants in veg and a bonk light the source for flowering? I dont know though because they are right on top of them. I think your ratios might be off ass well. Im assuming thats a flowering booster, those are in no way meant to provide stand alone nutrition

No recommendations, I do the same thing, looks and the weight of the pot. I trusted one of those meters, just once, and I wrecked a plant!

Yep. I didn’t realize ff ran so hot. I was only giving them a 1/4 of cal-mag and candy for this very reason. They weren’t getting enough nitrogen and I started in a tent. Needless to say but it dwarfed them! lol . HLG 600 watt and the other pos is the only red spectrum I got. I’m going all HLG shortly. It’s been 25 years since I grew, they just legalized it in Ohio. I flushed two last night and I can already tell the difference today.

OF isnt hot, you just have to let it do its job, dont add any N unless its a short burst through the stretch.

I would move that HLG over to flower side. Raise it up because it aint no joke. Id give it atleast 2’. You need an actual flowering nutrient with micros. Id say azomite justvto supplement but youd be halfway through flower before it kicked in. You might be able to do one of those terp teas for micros, cant remember what its called. But your best bet imo is a dedicated flowering nutrient, then add a booster when you get them sorted a couple weeks down the road

Also, if your lights are that low the entire grow it might be stunting them, if they get all the light they need they have no incentive to grow. They grow to compete for light from surrounding plants.

All together

yea I got TPS booster but I’m still looking for a micro. I read a lot of good stuff about those flora trios. I had my light at the top of my tent but the damn things we’re looking like they were stretching for it more then the normal late veg stretch! I bumped the candy up a little because it’s basically just phosphorus. Trial and errors man! It’s been a minute since I did this and I did all hydro back then. I’m thinking next round it’s flora trio , coco and all HLG!! Lol

Never used flora, but i grow in coco too and have very good results with AN sensi, MC, and now crop salts. The self buffering PH is a huge plus. Crop salts have enough calmag and you dont need to supplement. A little pricey but worth it imo. Much more complete than the others i mentioned.
