I also don't desire to argue. I just don't think it's an either/or type of thing. I'd say it is or can be both. For example, a thermometer is scientific, and few of us don't ever look at a thermometer. That said, if the thermometer says it's hot but the plant is doing well, then maybe it's okay. Even if the plant looks okay, however, a high temperature can still be a warning sign. We're so used to thermometers that we don't think of them as scientific (or tech, if you prefer that designation), but they are. In many fields, art and science seem to clash. They need not. But, like I said, it's chaotic here and my favorite computer is in the middle of the kitchen. Happy growing!
