Considering picking up one of these not sure yet, not bad for $36 though

That plus a little fan speed controller and I have a nice little 2x2 setup I can put in the mini lab

Those are about the dimensions of my first closet grow set up. A 600w HPS above, 250w HPS vertically on the side with no wall and 150w CFL on the front side. Basically where there was no wall for reflection it got an extra light. Idk how I didn't fry my girls. I remember it being hot af.

You gonna use it as a little starter nursery? 👍

I've been giving this some serious thought but there's no way I could start until probably the end of Oct at the earliest. I wonder if setting specific veg time and flip dates would actually be more of a genetics competition than a grower competition. Not every strain will have the same growth rate and such. If I'm doing lst or SCRoG it takes longer than 4 weeks to fully establish my canopy. And that kinda brings up the issue of grow space everyone is working with. Hell I once grew a small plant inside a leftover wardrobe moving box that I rigged up. Lol Man I forgot about that....musta been....I wanna say maybe '99? It's been a minute.

We are growing in 1 gallons and only 1 plant is part of the competition, I think that's the reason for the short veg time. Plus the competition would take forever if people are doing 8-12 week Veg and then have to wait another 8-12 weeks for flower.
I think the point of the competition is for all of us to come together and have fun with it.
Also to take most of us out of our comfort zone and try new things.
I scrog myself but for this grow I will be doing lst only with clips, ties, etc as well as trying new things because of the short veg.

As for strain, it's growers choice and knowing veg time, etc ahead of time gives time to make a choice of what strains will do better. Research strains and make a decision on what will do the best with the rules we have to follow.

I will never buy a cheap tent again. I had to change a tent because of a bad zipper. Problem was I had a4x4 bed in it. I had to dig out the entire bed and reassemble it in the new tent. Now I only buy acinfinity tents.

I have an acinfinity I can still see light through my zipper, luckily it’s only once or twice a day we walk into the lung room as it’s just the utility room that passes through to the crawlspace where my new mini lab is, and flower tent runs during day hours so maybe once a day the light gets turned on in there during dark period, if it’s after lights out

I have a Zazzy brand tent and surprisingly, no zipper light leaks got the 4x4 for $45 on sale a year and a half ago roughly lol

Tents are always jammin lol

4x8 acinfinity left and 4x4 Zazzy right

Inside the tent cali blues left day 18 Frostette right day 36

I remember your dilemma you got it all swapped out?

I have 2 AC Infinity tents and 1 Spider Farmer, AC Infinity definitely wins when it comes to tents.
I wish AC Infinity made an oversized 2x4 like Spider Farmer, it's 55"x28"x80" and that little extra space makes quite a bit of difference but light leaks through the zipper (there's a flap that helps) and I had to put zip ties around the duct ports because the drawstring wouldn't pull it tight enough, actually ripped 1 trying to get it tight around my intake duct.
My lung room is pitch black and I see no light coming from my AC Infinity tents, don't leak light at all. If anyone gets light leaks make sure all the inside flaps are laying correctly. If you get a leak where the door zippers meet, move them up or down a little until it's in a spot the inner flap is laying correctly.

Yep! That inside flap is what matters. Mine were folded, i makeshift added some with duct tape once but it’s now removed but in all honestly, if I was that concerned I’d go get some glue on fabric and extend the internal flaps like an inch with some opaque fabric to really block it for sure, I don’t mind seeing the light inside the tent from the outside, our lights in these tents are like sunlight inside the house, but like my lung room is 20x10 with 2x 60w incandescent bulbs, hell I could leave the doors wide open and probably only have a 50% chance of reveg lol, but I kept them like that on purpose

I go in the tent if I can zip myself fully in and sit for 2-3 minutes for my eyes to adjust it’s unlikely I’ll see any of that minimal light through the zippers I know last time I tested I couldent see shit even face to zipper, imo more light leaks are self induced by fans or humidifiers or dehus or light controllers etc than zipper leaks, I know I can open my tent and see at least 2 green LED’s and 2 red’s plus the 8 940nm infared lights on my night vision on my camera lol

Did you ever make a grow journal? I couldn’t find one I’d love to follow along with the No till box and ask a few questions

@Newty I have no idea how I'd pull this off but it's fun to experiment. And it's going to be from seed, correct? Hmmm I have some old seeds from some cross breeding back in like '06 or '07 IIRC. Most ended up all mixed together by someone trying to "help". 🙄 A blind grow 🤔could be interesting. Hmmmmm....

I made a journal for my Frostette and the HLG Scorpion RSpec in my 8x4 but I don't do a no till box. Maybe that question was for @Natep and not me lol.

I have a bunch of 2012 strains that were sent to me by a ex member here my plan is to post up the top 5 and let you all choose my strain no idea if I’ll get male or female but I’d be happy with a male for some 2012 pollen 😁

My neighbors might not feel the same but there growin cuts of my cali blues anyways so 🤣🤣

Yeah a while ago. It was a hard days work. I had marked my bed when I built my layers. I dug it out down to the marks and put it all into 30 gallon bags. Then built the new tent put the bed back in and refilled. It was a huge mess. It is one of the huge down falls of running a large bed in a tent.

I run a 4x4 no till. What’s up bro?
Oh I was wondering how the layers work, I like the idea especially all organic, where did you pick up the actual medium container? The 4x4 box itself?

What are the layers made up of? Is the bottom completely sealed? Like no way for runoff to exit?

Luckily I have backyard access if I wanted to bring in large amounts I could walk it right in my back basement door, seems like it’d be fun to work on the soil, keeping it healthy etc

Do you basically run the whole run as the box is, or do you top dress depending on plant stage, or do you worry more about the overall soil health
