Sounds like last year! Déjà vu all over again!😁
Yep, didn't learn my lesson did I. LOL
We had rain again yesterday and again last night. I moved the purple Autos into the greenhouse yesterday before the rain and they're still in there. Might get more this morning, then hopefully the 'cold front' coming down from the north will keep us dry for a few days and I can spray again.

My little early blooming Frostberry looks terrible, I'm finding dying sugar leaves regularly and I know it's rotting on the inside. 🙁
I think I'll chop the main cola to give the side branches more air and hopefully be able to harvest something.
But I'm waiting 'til the sun comes out 'cause the mosquitos are getting numerous. 😠

There are just So damn, many lessons to be learned, we are bound to miss a few! Hang in there!

So sorry your dealing with so much moisture issues in your grow😟

Update:
Lost one, will do a post mortem later. Count at 59 now.
Had to move all into the greenhouse. Temps outside are staying in the 40-50 range during the day, and 30-40s at night.
Wednesday they predict 29!

I grew two Critical 2.0 plants back in 2020 and one was filled with mold while the other had none. And they were right next to each other. Go figure, you never know. 🤷‍♀️

All my toms an green beans are dehydrated i can't keep the soil damp for longer than 12hrs. I'm going to have to change the soil up for next season in my veg beds.
Do you cover the top of your soil with anything? I use straw. You can use leaves, grass clippings, etc. Helps prevent the water from evaporating so quickly and helps with soil health. Acts as a cover basically.

Geeze if only we could get rain here what a God sent it would be. Oregon has over a 100 fires going all over the state. Hot as hell and dryer still. 89f feels like 115f. My plants were droopy cause i left for just a day and half. I had to go to my daughter's she's planning on getting married and so we needed to talk LOL. Not talk her out of it just talk LOL. Anyway i watered them as fast as i could first thing i did when i got home. All my toms a green beans are dehydrated i can't keep the soil damp for longer than 12hrs. We had this in less than an hour and we are supposed to get up to 2 inches later today plants are drenched as it is and 81% humidity right now

Just like here it’s a skeeter jungle

Didn't believe it at first, but I'd been hearing about imitation vanilla extract being used a mosquito repellent. Bought a huge bottle and put some in a spray bottle. That's all I've used this year and it works great. You don't smell like off either. Has to be the fake kind. Much safer for elderly and children.

Gonna have to give this a try as I can’t stand the feel or stink of the sprays on my skin. Use it straight or diluted ??

Hey guys! If you treat your clothing with permethrin it will help a lot! I too hate the off and other shit (though it works lol) on my skin, smell and feeling sucks!

I put just a tad bit of tap water in the spray bottle. Only because I wasn't sure. Because it's the fake stuff, it's cheap. Try it full strength. I don't love how it feels on my skin so I usually spray it all over my clothes amd shoes. Kind of sticky, but obviously better than the Off feeling. Spray it around where I'm sitting on the deck. My mom who is 80 usually is covered in bites if she steps out. She wanted to help me harvest some potatoes and was complaining about insects. Sprayed some on her and she had no bites last night when I asked. Definitely works for us. Worth a try for yall.

I use permethrin on clothes for mushroom hunting for ticks but never heard of it being a mosquito repellent. Works DAMN WELL on those little nasty ass bloodsucking ticks tho !!

We have ticks in our area but nothing too crazy! But mosquitos on the other hand can get really bad, and they eat the shit out of my poor kids!

Have you notices the mosquitos are less around you when you have your clothing on thats been treated?

Un related to mold but related to same strain! Im growing multiple XX side by side and one of them has turned full on purple and smells like berries!!!! It’s insane! Im wondering if that much of the phenotype has the “mold fighter gene” in it and can get skipped in other phenos? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Usually only use it early spring when morel hunting so there isn’t USUALLY mosquitoes out !! Sometimes tho on warm days they do make an appearance but when they do I go trout fishing 😂😂😂😂 squitoes never seem bothered by the permethrin that I’ve noticed. Sorry for jammin up your thread cpurola !!!
