So, it's raining AGAIN!
Last time it rained, oh, Tuesday, Wednesday, it pulled a couple of plants down.

Well, we got one and a half inches last night and it took another one that I had just propped up and pulled IT to the ground.
My fault for not supporting the extras, but they WERE extras and I didn't think they'd do much.
Jokes on me. They look better than the trellised and pampered ones (the 12).

I'm beginning to think, 'less is more' with these plants.

Anyways, time to start thinning the herd. Tomorrow. It's still raining. Damn it. 😠

Rain outdoors is rought, I defoliate a lot to help air flow

Got a spare fan you can set near them in the garage? Can you leave the door open without folks seeing them? Man what we do for these plants to keep them harvestable😒 Gotta say though it's just been 2wks since i harvested those Red auto CBD crosses and i really like it. Sure hope you get yours finished OK

I should have. But I thought I had time.
Hey C my umbrella is working I’ve been diligent about watching for the rain they seem fine so far. The calyxes have starred to swell up nicely

Heya Chucky I thought I would not top many and let them get tall and skinny most of them don’t have anything to support them and they’re doing fine except for the leaf septora all is well. It’s on most trees out back

And you mentioned some yellowing and wilting! Has it quit raining long enough for you to get to the bottom of that? That is kind of ominous!
I haven't seen it before, so I'm not sure, but it appears to be isolated to the top 1/4 of the plant. And not all of them.
Wondering if the roots have encountered something they don't like.

So, what are you doing about the Septoria, if anything?
And make sure you inspect the bottom of the stalk. With all that rain, stalk Problems are a very real possibility! I hope not sister!
Roger that.

Remove all lower leaves first burn them crap mine are already on the ground I’ll rake them up and gladly burn them. They say you Can spot spray a fungicide but I’m doubtful I will I just can’t wrap my head around it at this point I’ve squashed the bud worms in the stalks to kill them I’ve been doing it for years home grown tricks work I’ve even cut the top of a mainstem off a plant the was lifeless and ran a bass guitar string up and down to kill a borer then sealed the stem with wax. Dog crap in pails keeps coons away from my 🌽 I’m full of crap shoot remedies

Thanks for the info. I have an arsenal of organic fungicides to spray on them. But when it rains the next day and washes it all off, it gets frustrating.
Last year someone told me the mold spores were probably coming from the hedgerow of trees along our property line. If so, the only way to have a successful harvest would be resistant varieties AND favorable weather. So, survival of the fittest will be the attitude going forward.
I will spray when I can, but no heroics.
Managing the Autos to get them to the finish has been exhausting enough. BTW, they're in the garage with the shop lights and fans running.
And it rains again. 🙁
You know, if it wasn't raining I would be outside not typing all these words to y'all. 😉

I've read that the fungicides are just to manage septoria and that nothing cures it once is set in. There are preventive things I read.

For vine borers, I inject my plant with BT, with an actual needle. It is less invasive on my plants. I didn't catch 2 in my squash. Riped them out today. They are so destructive. It's also odd to me that the adults are moth wasp insects. I drowned the larva I found in my squash in the bird bath with the cabbage worms I found on my kale. My poor vegetable garden isn't getting the care it is used to because of my new gardening adventure. Not to mention how late I got things started. My summer garden is just now taking off and I've got to get seeds in the ground for my fall garden soon.

Sorry for all the troubles, everyone. It's not easy, but rewarding.

I spray my plants with my bt/labs daily to avoid them
