I didn't know that! I know about everything you buy now days is feminized but i do see some natural. I had bought an auto to try and was feminized but didn't know natural is not available anywhere!

But I can answer the question as to why a male if you are hybirdnizing, and that is because auto is a recessive gene so both parents have to have it. Hence, you need a male auto to back cross to successfully produce stabilize hybirdnized autos seeds before you can do feminized auto.

I ran into this problem when making sweet gum tincture that calls for much higher proof. My state regulates the sell of the 90% alcohol too. Drove all over. Finally found a store that would order it for me and they keep it on the shelf now. You'll find conflicting info online about it. Both CA and OH states they can't sell the everclear over 151 proof according to info online, but I've purchased the 190 here.

Higher alcohol is needed to extract different components that lower proof can't. Same with water. Same with double decoctions. All fungi that I've tincture I use double decoction method. Pretty sure I used the 190 everclear for Lions Mane too. Can't remember. I'd have to look it up. My usnea, while it's a lichen, is also treated like a fungus and was double decocted. It's whatever the plant material you are working with requires. I mess with some stuff that can kill you, like Poke, if you don't know what your doing. You would never use 190 for poke though or that would kill you.

Really after 20 minutes the vast majority of cannabinoids have been removed, literally melted into suspension of the alcohol so yes, the stronger the alcohol the quicker it removes the molecules we want. At the same time a 40% alcohol will remove most of the cannabinoids but it takes a lot longer and you also strip a lot more of the molecules you don't want like waxes and chlorophyll.

Yes, very different molecules that I have zero experience with removing or even using and okay with that I did my share of LSD back in the day and tried mescaline and made magic mushroom omelets and really enjoyed all the trips I took, but after getting married and having kids and all the headaches and heartaches of life with all the experience I had with psychedelics I knew I didn't want to do them again.

My head at the time was in the right place to fry and throughly enjoy it. Today, 45 years later and a lifetime of shit not a chance I'd willingly take any of those drugs again. Although with my increasing fuck it attitude the older i get I may want to re-visit that decision at another time

Funny how life changes as we age. And so do our concerns. I was insane when I was younger. Friends would hand me something, I'd pop it with no questions. Didn't even know what it was. Ain't no way I could do that now.
