When they go into flower they will be going into 15L pots, a lot easier to manage than what I was originally planning I thought better of such big containers and downsized my expectations. 8 plants.. Gotta be conscious of space.

I did my last run in 7gal and was only able to fit 6 under my light. I dropped to 3gal and have 12 under the light this run! still not sure if thats good or bad or how I feel about the whole thing, im kind of just along for the ride at this point hahaha!

That was mine too! I was in 28 litre pots just over 7 gallons, and it just was too big, same as you. I have 8 going through this time, and I'm along for the ride as well my eyes did the math and it didn't work out, so I went and got smaller pots and I think Ill be good now. Looking for a blackcurrant phenotype, so I cant cull anything and have to take clones of everything before flower.

Im trying to get all females out of a regular seed run cloned for an Indica project after this current run of XXs. I know right how you feel! It’s relaxed and moving along, but there is that looming time constraint in the back of my head! : )

Before you know it you realise just how much space they will take up . The wakeup call was when I snipped their final massive fan leaves that were shading lower branches and taking up a lot of space, and in like 2 days they filled in all that space like it was nothing.

I wouldn't say you are wrong, I guess there is no wrong or right way, you just need to do what works for you and if it works for you then its good. The way I do it just makes it easier for me to follow my chart and what products I should be adding to my water/soil each week.

Week 4 of veg, day 24. Its been 45 days since seed. This was all done yesterday evening, I am just posting today. Pretty boring stage of their lives, but since their water yesterday they have exploded with new growth. Its like they grew an inch over night, was a surprise when I opened the tent this morning.

It has been 6 days and they were thirsty again. I added the micro, enzyme, rhizo and kelp products to this water, and gave them all 1 litre each. Some of the phenos are drinking faster than the others, but its not a problem. There is only 1 cola on 1 plant that isn't long enough yet to be bud-clipped.

The Mutant. Her 2 mutant tops are catching up, but they are growing slowly. With their colas bud clipped I am hoping they catch up soon, but I don't have any high hopes of these strange branches becoming real tops. This is just a good bit of fun.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I find veg very boring, I get post-happy in flower veg not so much. I didn't expect such a good harvest from my Grifters, I am very pleased with it and to be honest I have been really fucking stoned lately it has been a long time since I have had good bud, but I am no longer in a rush through veg which is good. I pulled a total of just over 16 ounces from my 3 Grifter plants under a 730w LED, final dimmer was at 80% power at 20-25". The Yellow Monster was the clear weight winner, and I think its safe to say she could have used more food and that might have been why she was that colour. Big respect to the legends in my first thread that suggested I feed her more, you were right, she was a hungry pheno!

Week 4, day 28 of veg. I did all this yesterday, then today I took pics and posted.

After just 4 days the girls were thirsty again, so they got 1 litre each, and received their first veg fertilizer feed in their water. As you can see, they also got a haircut. Humidity was getting out of hand, and there was very little airflow. Bad combination, so I addressed it.

The mutant. Her 2 mutant branches are still growing, but damn, you guys were right again. There just does not seem to be much, if ANY vigor, in these 2 mutant branches that are growing from the stems of 2 main colas. I left them on because I want to see where this goes.

I pulled out my old clone machine, and the good news is I cleaned it before putting it away, and I know this because I left the cable inside the unit. The bad news is the current state of it yes that's a spider web on the cable. I went and got some hydrogen peroxide to clean it, and the same clone solution I always use in the water when I take cuts, and I am going to give the whole thing a clean then leave it running with the hydrogen peroxide for a few hours. To clean this unit I use safety glasses, gloves, and an open window with a fan pointing outside, can never be too careful with this shit.

Week 5, day 32 of veg.

I have been busy! Lots of planning, lots of doing. I sterilized my new 40L bucket, my 8 x 15L pots, and my old aeroponic clone machine. Big harvest that will last me, so I can give my plants time to recover from this stress before giving them their first strip and take clones.

Its been another 4 days and the girls are thirsty. I have transplanted the girls to their final 14L pots. The girls are now recovering, they have been through a lot, but I managed to get them in with ZERO issue. Was a VERY smooth job, but a huge job, and the whole thing took me about 2 hours. I charged each pot with veg top dress and mineral composite, using the dosage suggested by the chart. I added rhizo/fungi to this water, one of the products being specifically for transplanting. They drank 3.5 litres each.

Get well soon <3 they didn't droop as badly as last time because the root balls were much more established. They came RIGHT out of the pots with no effort needed, I am very happy with this transplant.

LED is still on 35%, but I raised the it again so that we are back at 30" after the transplant. However, I will need to buy new boosters, the old booster seats are too small so my canopy is uneven again. I will address this in the next few days.

I took everything down, vacuumed and scrubbed my 5x5, cleaned my equipment inside/out, replaced & secured my new ducting, gave everything a final ISO wipe then moved the girls in. They are still drying out from the transplant. I also evened the canopy with sturdy booster containers.

My more powerful SE7000 LED (730w) in my 5x5 is 35" above the canopy. A little high, but I didn't feel like resetting and remeasuring my hangers, so I turned it up to 180w (25%) and kept an eye on them. They were praying slightly the next day so I am not worried.

Everything is going REALLY well, but it got too crowded, so Pheno 1 and 4 got the chop. I made the decision after stem rubs and taking into account their general structure. I now have 6 healthy girls squarely under my 730w, there was just NO room but now everybody has room to party, and the party has begun!

Week 1 of Flower, day 1.

Turned my 730w LED up to 30% (220w). LED is about 32" from the canopy. They have just woken up from their first 12 hours of dark.

6 days ago I gave them all their final defoliation/strip before flower, then used bud-clips to spread the remaining branches to fill out the space under the light, and then I let them recover. Each pheno has 3 nodes, which is 6 large branches each in total.

During the strip I took 2 clones of each pheno, dipped them in clone gel then put them in my TurboKlone with the same hormone solution I have always used. They are sitting under a 23w seedling LED at 30", ph 5.9-6.0.

This dry back took 8 days, a little longer than expected due to the pre-flower strip/defoliation. As you can see the canopy has already filled out again, and new growth on every pheno is pretty explosive.

The babies! I know a lot of people clip their clones leaves to encourage root growth, but I have always preferred to leave them as they are. They are still under just 23w of light. Its a 46w seedling light but I only have 1 of the bars on. Ignore the paper towel, I had a spill after forgetting to turn the pump off before opening the lid, HA!

Removed the humidity dome some days ago after noticing most of the clones had roots, but I was worried about 4 clones that barely had any. So I made up fresh seedling solution, but this time I put in a low dose of hydrogen peroxide. The next morning, just 10 hours later the last 4 clones all had roots. Bright and white, though 2 of the clones are in very early stages of root development. The last 4 were slow to root, but they made it, and every clone survived.

Thank you I appreciate it you gotta love clones right? I love em too, and you know what you're getting every time, can take them whenever you need them FOR FREE, just snip snip dip dip *plug* lol. Chances are I will run a few of these pheno's a second time to be 100% sure the winner is the winner, and also as an excuse to not waste clones I have already grown out, because they are free weed plants you're right! In the near future I also plan to get into making my own fem seeds, so in the event of a another catastrophic disaster like I had 5 years ago I wont have lost my mothers I spent years hunting .

My clone machine is 7.5L, and the bottle I have is 50% hydrogen peroxide. The website said a max dose would be 1ml per 5L, and it said that's what you put in if you have slime or something gross in there and you can see there is a serious issue. Mine was fine I was just worried because they hadn't rooted yet and I read roots love the environment it creates. I have a little dripper I can suck up a tiny amount with and drop it in, so I put in half a ml in with my 7.5L. Next morning there were roots everywhere and the last 2 clones had finally grew roots. I will be adding this to my clone machine every time now.

No worries man I look forward to it! I kept worrying that it would work like bleach because I am fairly bad with chemicals but I learnt its basically just super oxygen, but you don't wanna get it on your hands concentrated obviously, wear gloves etc. Mold and fungus cant survive it, and roots love it because the high oxygen content creates a sterile environment and gives them constant oxygen which they need.

I kept worrying but I finally did a bit of research and felt a lot better about using it. I think after clone machines are on for a while in a warm environment bad shit starts to grow maybe? So I think when I put it in it killed all that shit and the roots exploded overnight.

Week 1, day 5 of Flower.

I am only making this post because there have been a few changes worth noting.

The stretch has really begun, this morning was a surprise. They have reached the 30" mark, and my canopy is already completely filled with large foliage again. I do a day 21 defoliation in flower so they are going to have to wait until then.

I am an idiot, and didn't realise there were 2 branches on 1 pheno that had not yet been bud-clipped. Its no big deal, I very gently bent and prepared the branch and got them clipped, and by this morning they had already turned up towards the light.
