As a mulch layer and as aeration they are great. But there is a 0% chance they will break down into silica during a run, that would be if you reuse soil run after run. Even with a full ecosystem in living soil they don't seem to get broken down. I love them though I use a ton for aeration and much

Correct this is for long term living soil so I’m building for the long term expectations of the soils

I’ve never used them in pots. In the ground they definitely breakdown fairly quickly. Maybe worms go to work on them?

I’ll be adding worms to the beds and the pots as well

I sowed both OG Kush and Dynamite Disel in their respective pots so they can germinate in the soil.

Outdoor, in ground, I beleive it, worms won't touch them until they decompose though it's not worth it to them. Outdoor who knows what could be there eating them
