Oh I know haha when i was using it to hold moisture to go longer between waterings thinking the perlite would make me over drain but it gave me massive issues so I just said fuck that shit not worth the headache to try and balance it lolVermiculite is for retaining water not releasing it lol
I’d put it somewhere between coco and peat as far as it’s willingness to hold moisture goes, but both coco and peat hold their ph steady better time
I recently switched to coir from verm for mushroom casing layers (pretty much all I used verm for) when I found out verm isn’t a renewable resource. But found out even more terrible things about verm today lol
It was when I first switched to promix thinking it would act more like coco on quick drybacks but I was 100% wrong and it acts like 50/50 soil coco lol
