I'm always up for learning something new so thought would give it a go. Be back to my nice safe soil for the outdoor season though.

haha honestly dude I don’t worry about EC either.
I start seedlings off at 3.6 mL/ gal a & b.

Then I do 4.5 ml/ gal after about a week (usually first watering since planting)

Then run 7.1 ml/gal all the way through veg unless certain plants get hungry as some do some don’t.

Calmag with every feeding in veg and early flower.
When i get to flower i bump it to 9.8 ml/gal base and run that the rest of the way through.

Instead of watching ec I just watch the plants it’s pretty easy when you figure out the nutrient line but if you’ve got the meter even better!

That's good to hear. Like I said I'm being over cautious and analytical I think. Reminds me of my first soil grow...lol!

I'm excited though, ladies looking ok and taking to their new home it seems. Apart from the runt but we'll persevere with her and see what happens, you never know!

So do/would you be feeding them now at this stage? I was planning on letting them them take to their new home, get their roots sorted then start feeding them (and switch the autopots system on) once the leaves reach the side of the pots as they suggest. And just top watering till then.

So, first feeding (and top watering)...done! That was really interesting and good fun.

Took the tap water, pH it down to 6.1 then added 7.1ml of A&B to 1gal of water (142ml/20gal). 2 gals worth and fed them approx 1.25L each.

Let's see what happens...

Ned to setup the aquavalves properly and get all the tubing fed in correctly today or tomorrow as won't be long now to switch on (when leaves hit the side of the pot). And the air pump tubing as well but that doesn't come in till 2 weeks after switching the autopots/aquavalves on.

Sheesh, 6 aqua valves fitted and connection to reservoir done and fed in. Now just have to connect them all together in the middle and we're done. I feel flooding in my future.

Rearranged them all vertically from horizontally as well so I can get at the plants much easier (side pockets on tent) and there is a route through when it becomes a jungle. Not having to step/hack over etc.

Some ok growth coming, feed seems to have done them good. I definitely gave them too much as as quite a bit of runoff but that's fine, I know better for the next one. The FunkyM is on borrowed time that's for sure and the Supreme Runtz is looking a bit finicky (middle right) it has to be said but think she'll come through.

Every day still but just means I can tend and talk to them more instead of never ending watering...lol! That's the plan anyway.

It's a 5x5 and I think if they all go I'm in trouble room wise but (see next post) at least one is dropping out soon.

I waited for the Black Fri sale and went with the biggest reservoir (as may be away for longer periods so gives me some leeway), plus air domes and what not. Came to just over $600 all in, you can do it cheaper though, say around $350.

Right then, here's this evening, they keep on coming. Few are touching the edges of the pot now so time is nigh to switch the system on in next few days I think. Once I finish setting all the tubing up as you can see...lol!

All seem happy bar the FunkyM who is just looking like a stunted triffid at this point (look it up) or one of the infected (a Clicker maybe?) out of TLOU! Not sure much point continuing her journey but she can have a while longer. Also, yes I can see she has been waaaay overwatered when I did the feed. Little bit embarrassed about that but there you go.

And the Supreme Runtz is ok but just being a bit finicky, the leaves might indicate too much/over watering or moisture but she's been like that since day one. Strange but I feel like she might grow in to herself and pull through as she matures. We'll find out...

The time is nigh, all fittings are now in and we are ready to go (and flood the tent and garage!)

So I think realistically I'll aim to switch it on this coming weekend as bit busy tomorrow and Sat. Can't wait!

As of 9pm, day 23, I am happy to announce...Autopots and the reservoir are...GO!

No leaks so far, let's hope I mixed it all up correctly.

Pretty excited tbh. Had some v useful help from my youngest and sorted it all once got back from a night away (always takes longer than you think). There was a slight comedy of errors filling her up but we got there. Starting at 30gal (was gonna be 20 but too low) and see how it rolls. Already thinking sod this let's fill her to the brim...lol!

The aquavalves on side of each pot filled as expected, with water to start with as hadn't fully shut the valve off when initially filling, but that's fine.

Now we wait...

Day 25

They have definitely started drinking now, some quite noticeable growth in the last 24hrs so expecting/hoping for lots more. Some pre-flowering on the Spotless Mind and CannaCheese has also just appeared. Blue Power is looking strong to me, lovely structure on her already (in my eyes). Whilst Jimmy Jacks, CannaCheese and Spotless Mind also look really healthy and ready to explode..

The same can't really be said for the Supreme Runtz, She's still not totally happy but improving slightly, bit odd. And as for the FunkyM, I think she may well be a lost cause but I'll persevere a while longer.

This time out I'm not going to top them (as tempting as it is but little late now anyway I'd say) and minimal LST, just gonna let them go and see what happens (with the new grow system/feeding) as a vague yard stick.

Here's a few more close ups of the Supreme Runtz. She's been like this from seed, quite odd.

I thought at first maybe some over watering but she's had the same as all the others so a little stumped really. She seems healthy enough, just a bit slow.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Lmao I forgot I don’t even PH my autos! I just mix and rip and they’ve never had a problem.

I use recharge once a week though

Hey @Lockebox, qu for you regards the recharge. How do you add it as I'm reading so many conflicting reports?

Some say top water in (which is what I was going to do), others say just stick in the aquavalve and switch off the res till it's drunk and others even suggesting to stick in the res. I don't fancy putting it in the res and was thinking just mix it up and top water. How do you do it? I'm coco/perlite if that matters.

I wouldn’t want to put it in the res either. I would give a nice top water with a custom 1L water bottle lol : )

Our style is a little different as I’m all hand watering, but I just mix it into my nutrients once a week.

If I were in auto pots, once a week I would top water just a few hundred ml of tap water mixed with recharge on top of doing everything else as usual!
