where are these deep sensors at, you have me searching, they look the same..or??That’s the goal! I do want large plants but not too large, I was having great success running the 12’s and being able to fill a 4x4 space per plant that’s all I’m looking for, not massive but large.
Positions is my question as well, I don’t want them at the bottom, but probably have the tip in the bottom 1/3 of the pot. I’ll have the WH51’s on the top layer so it’ll be interesting to see how they dry top to bottom bottom to top etc I have this topic going but was thinking about starting a living soil topic
No shit... If you boil the straw it will kill the seeds ..Pasteurized (not sterlizized) some straw I had to kill off any seeds / bugs 165-175f held for 1.5 hours on the stove then drained and cooled and applied now we just wait for cover crop to pop up and the worms to show up!
Seeds supposedly die after being exposed to heat over 140f for over 30 minutes, being as it is 165-170f for 1.5 hours they should all be effectively sterlile seeds now, I did rinse and drain it A few times before boiling chopped it mostly into 4-5” pieces and removed any heads that immediately stuck out to me there’s a few in there still but cover crop is coming up! I covered them with a 1/2” of soil and I can see the soil pushed up all over so I should see a bunch more tomorrow morningNo shit... If you boil the straw it will kill the seeds ..interesting. I bypassed the straw this round. Might add some just because. I got lazy this round ...

WH51 is the top sensor (green)where are these deep sensors at, you have me searching, they look the same..or??
I amend at harvest. Then dry right above my pots. That way it gets two weeks between cycles.two 20g pots in a 4x2 and do about the same with the top dressing. Near harvest is when I'll top dress for the next round. Do you wait couple weeks before starting another run in the same pots?
I’m not sure people understand what living soil is. People are going to chime in with fox farms nutrients. lolThat’s the goal! Its hard for me to not respond to comments regarding "organic" then again so easy. Took me a year to understand it. Watching a Mr Grow It episode last night listening to Chris talk about his first go at it and his experience reminded me of myself. Just throw some amendments top soil and add water and done. It dives a little deeper than that.I’m not sure people understand what living soil is. People are going to chime in with fox farms nutrients. lol

Is it just not out there? Or is because of what you were explaining above?Super hard to find good info on true living soil care

I did the Gaia green route before with the 12 gallon pots and also did it blended with fox farm neut line, it all works, but this moving to the organic was a huge difference in my opinion, enough so that I started looking into the difference between majority of growers version of “organic” over to living soil
Gald I got you guys here to help! Great to have people to bounce shit off of
Just like I was saying above. Looking up like no till or living soil etc gives many less articles, I think is just due to being buried in the search results as it’s a much less commonly used term or method. Is it just not out there? Or is because of what you were explaining above?
Its true. When I got into my buddy kept telling to do it this way. He finally told I’m going to bring you a pot ready to go. All I had to do was add water. It had build a soil take and bake recipe in it. Now all three of my tent are growing the build a soil way.Just like I was saying above. Plan is to get the clones rooted just seeing first roots on them now in the cloner, get them into 3” mini pots and let them go in the mini pots in light recipe for a week till they root up a 3” pot then get em in asap, clover is coming up quick now so should have some good cover crop goingWhen you transplanting in to the pots?
