This is what works for me
Regulars
Wk 1 tap water
Wk 2-3 1/5 strength
Wk 3-4 1/2 strength
Wk 4-5+ Full strength
Autos I work it up slowly from 1/5 to 1/2 and run with it and cut back the ca maybe 2-3wks into flower. It's been a few years since I grew and bred autos.

I can adjust this stuff by making a concentrate in 1 gallon of tap water, which makes my 7.0pH into 5.8pH water. Then I use tablespoons 1/8 1/4 & 1/2 cups of each into a gallon of tap water.

For clones I use the herb mix 1/4 strength with 1/8 cup of each.

I'm sure you know having used MB the correct mixing order but anyone else reading this it's always MB, epsom salts then calcium nitrate. If you put the ca in the wrong place you'll lock out your plants. It's a mess.

I fill gallon milk jugs 3/4 full of water then start adding the concentrate then fill to top.

Recipe I use per gallon tap water for concentrate:
MB 80 grams
Epsom 40 grams
Ca 80 grams

Here's 2 of the 3 MB & epsom.
Then I put it quart/liter bottles

I'm making about 30 gallons a day

But the proof is always in the pudding😉

Have I mentioned I love Master Blend yet? Just checking🤗
Nice!!!! It's crazy how many people do their own mixtures with this stuff. And yet nobody knows about MB 🤷‍♂️.

Wish I could just throw down some organic crap like outside. We have really good soil on Long Island!

My favorite mix is 50/50 Perlite/Peat. Combine that with 78 Degree RZT Root Zone Temp! Explosive Growth

But here's the thing, gotta run enough fertigated water through the coir 3-5 x's a day or you'll come home to this, cloth 1 gallon pots outside dried up in 6 hrs and a couple fell over.

The rest in solos were parched. I knew this would be the case but they're all fine.

One more thing, everything you water (fertigating) you want about 10% runoff.

These are the only drawbacks, at least that I see with coco growing.

Auto watering is really the way to go. I'm semi retired but I put in a day yesterday so it is what it is. All the above plants are fine this morning, I just can't allow that to happen several days in a row😉

Have you considered a passive drip irrigation set up?

Hello, this topic still active?

So if I get it correctly:

Full nutes: 2.4g masterblend; 1.5g mag; 2.4g calnit

W1: tapwater
W2-3: 20% nutes
W3-4: 50% nutes
W4-5+: 50%-100% nutes

When flipping:
2.4g masterblend; 1.5g mag; 1.2g calnit

Last 2-3 weeks in flower:
2.4 masterblend; 1.5g mag; 0g calnit

Thanks for replying!

I tried it but their fade was far worse. Even though MB has some calcium it's not enough. I've cut back to half of the cal. I've also tried 1 1/2 MB w/ 0 cal and still not working as well as just full MB and half cal😉

I'm sorry I'm not following.. What did you try exactly? All the info from my post is gathered info from your posts so I assumed this was the way.

What part of what I wrote is wrong? :D

My Problem is I get K deficiency As soon as I flip that resolves after a couple of Weeks. I admit I dont change my REservoir often enough

Nothing, just sharing what I've found over the years. I've done many side by side comparisons as well as grown 100's of plants over the past 5+ years using MB in coconut coir😉

I'm currently at 2.9 2.25 2.9 😅 One plant is thriving hard.
The other is having a few beauty issues and I can't really pinpoint the problem. My runoff was starting to get lower than the input so I had to keep increasing. Now I put 1100ppm in (day 44 veg) and it's still only giving back 850-900ppm so in theory it's begging me for even more food?

Personally I think the plant uses what it needs regardless of how much N is present. I think when a Plant is fully finished it will naturally fade?

If you feed nitrate instead of real plant food, the plant will keep absorbing nitrate and run out of the trace minerals required to convert nitrate to actual plant food. Most hydroponic "nitrogen deficiencies" are actually nitrate toxicity/molybdenum deficiency, and all "nitrogen toxicity" symptoms are sugar transport issues caused by secondary and trace mineral imbalance. Nitrate toxicity and molybdenum deficiency are regularly called "the fade".

Nitrate is not real plant food. It is poison. Cattle die if they graze fields with too much nitrate. Nitrate sales are a scam on humanity to sell pesticides, flavor additives and pharmaceuticals. The Ketchupification of the world. They won't grow a tomato that a child can consume without puking. That would be too medicinal.

Plants crave protein, peptides and amino acids, not nitrate and ammonia and pesticides and sweeteners and marketing. Those are all poisons. Plants are living things that, unlike humans, generally suffer no placebo effect or mass delusion. There is no such thing as too much protein in a plant. (Tell a body builder he has protein toxicity.) Only too much toxic nitrate and ammonia that is put into your plant by chemical companies who do not want you producing healthy crops. Name one body builder who gets his protein from nitrate detoxification. Illogical for living things to get their energy from acts of defense.

Why anyone still uses nitrate is beyond comprehension. Zero medicinal effect. The nitrate rec high is not even enjoyable. I do not support any manufacturer who produces nitrate, nitrate weed, or any retailer who sells it. I actively lobby to have Nitrate taxed out of existence, unfortunately all our virtue signaling politicians are fake, and idiots, just like most every other expert/professional in the world today. It is cheap and easy to make Calcium glycinate from quicklime and soy.

Probably excess Magnesium. Not familiar with the manufactures qualifications to produce drug crops. Let's see what their marketing indicates.

"Masterblend water-soluble fertilizer 20-7-20 Formula is a balanced blend that offers higher levels of Magnesium to offset deficiencies in the growing medium."

Yeah. I've ran most the common pot forum recipes and tissue Mg is always waaaay too high. And in the online community, the visual symptoms that go along with high Mg are called everythingexcept 'too much magnesium fucking up everything else'. I see magnesium toxicity called magnesium deficiency on grow forums regularly.

However I think we are talking about the Tomatoe formula -- which also may have more then necessary Mag?

This is interesting I found myself backing down on the Mg since the 1:`1:1 Masterblend Tomato has these Numbers. Would you take a look and tell me what numbers you think are better.. I can't find the GUy that made a chart comparing the different major Brands
