I clearly have a little too much N I think during early Flowering even though I know they use a lot of N still during first 2-3 weeks after switch?

Currently i follow the Masterblend recommendation. Plants look amazing during Veg.

But in Flowering I am seeing slight K deficiency and too much N maybe?

I am also in RDWC at around 700 PPM at the .5 conversion...

You might want to take a look at Jack's new 0-12-26 Part A. Or use less of the Masterblend and supplement with monopotassium phosphate or another PK booster.

Do you mean USe less of the Calcium Nitrate?

It depends on which products you're using. I was assuming you were using the MB 4-18-38, so I was just trying to cut out the N in your Part A. Less calnit is an option too, of course.

I am immediately ordering the Master Blend Cannabis Formula sale as Jacvks 0-12-24 but I can get 4 pounds for 17 bucks instead of 27 bucks for 2 pounds!

Hey guys, curious as to your results here. I'm in the same boat. I'm about in mid- late flower, plant is 7 weeks from pop. I've been feeding the trio of Master blend, calcium, and magnesium. Only at half strength.

The plant is looking okay overall, lower leaves have started to pale and I'm noticing some spots here and there. It looked perfect in flower .

It seems most of the nitrogen is in the calcium. It's n is 15.5. combined with the Master blend that brings the nitrogen up to 19.5.

Is it normal that people feed this amount of nitrogen throughout the entire grow? I see custom Hydro cells Master blends 0-12-26 and there are other zero n products but still after adding in the calcium it's going to bring the nitrogen levels up to 15.5.

Not really sure what to do here. 2020 Mendocino vidamints Auto.

Personally I think the plant uses what it needs regardless of how much N is present. I think when a Plant is fully finished it will naturally fade? I think this is a good question. However for those adamant on reducing N but keeping C dont forget actually a Fine grade of Gypsum is surprisingly Soluable at concentrations planty to make up the Difference. Look for the good Hydro article on Gypsum and get back to me please...

What kind grow medium are you using?

Edit: "my plants looked perfect in VEG."

Is there no way to edit a post on here?

I've been growing in coco coir with Master Blend for about 5 years and I've learned to cut the calcium to half at flip and last 2 weeks I don't use it.

I've experimented with upping the MB while reducing the calcium but didn't seem to make a difference so back to using full strength in veg and flip day start giving half strength ca and just stop using ca after wk 6 or 7 as I grow Indicas and hybrids that are done 8-10 weeks.

I'd really like to try Envy Bloom Special. Bought their ca a couple months ago and thought good quality.

Otherwise Master Blend in coco works for me. I use it at 1/5 strength w/o ca for strawberries, 1/4 strength w/ ca for herbs and tomatoes full strength but I'm giving a couple plants half strength ca to see if there's a difference as they are fruting heavily.

I love Master Blend😉

Thanks, that helps! I'm very scared to go full strength. Those npk numbers are crazy! Lol

This is what works for me
Regulars
Wk 1 tap water
Wk 2-3 1/5 strength
Wk 3-4 1/2 strength
Wk 4-5+ Full strength
Autos I work it up slowly from 1/5 to 1/2 and run with it and cut back the ca maybe 2-3wks into flower. It's been a few years since I grew and bred autos.

I can adjust this stuff by making a concentrate in 1 gallon of tap water, which makes my 7.0pH into 5.8pH water. Then I use tablespoons 1/8 1/4 & 1/2 cups of each into a gallon of tap water.

For clones I use the herb mix 1/4 strength with 1/8 cup of each.

I'm sure you know having used MB the correct mixing order but anyone else reading this it's always MB, epsom salts then calcium nitrate. If you put the ca in the wrong place you'll lock out your plants. It's a mess.

I fill gallon milk jugs 3/4 full of water then start adding the concentrate then fill to top.

Recipe I use per gallon tap water for concentrate:
MB 80 grams
Epsom 40 grams
Ca 80 grams

Here's 2 of the 3 MB & epsom.
Then I put it quart/liter bottles

I'm making about 30 gallons a day

But the proof is always in the pudding😉

Have I mentioned I love Master Blend yet? Just checking🤗

I'll be following this I think. 👍
But here's the thing, gotta run enough fertigated water through the coir 3-5 x's a day or you'll come home to this, cloth 1 gallon pots outside dried up in 6 hrs and a couple fell over.

20240705 165227
20240705 165234
20240705 165221

The rest in solos were parched. I knew this would be the case but they're all fine.

One more thing, everything you water (fertigating) you want about 10% runoff.

These are the only drawbacks, at least that I see with coco growing.

Auto watering is really the way to go. I'm semi retired but I put in a day yesterday so it is what it is. All the above plants are fine this morning, I just can't allow that to happen several days in a row😉
