6 on 2 off, I got it from a Maximum Yield article back in like 2017, been using it successfully ever since! I mostly prefer it just for economical reasons, the grow rooms don't get so hot with the shorter cycles. Plants seem to like it, too. MY noted better overall plants with this cycle, the theory being plants can only "process" so much energy at a time, and the frequent "breaks" allow for a higher metabolism.

I don't veg above 16/8 for similar economical reasons. My plants always seem happier on 16/8 and you can give them more intense light and feed heavier without burn meaning you usually actually have tighter node spacing and happier plants both for the same investment of time and money.

I've seen the 6/2 thing mentioned before several years ago but have never got around to trying it. Bet you could get away with more intense light and tighter node spacing that way too.

Although that's still more power consumption then 16/8. I may go switch the veg timers over and see what goes on with it.
