Yes i remember that blond haired baby boy VP who spelled tomatoe LOL i think he was corrected by a child who knew the correct spelling🤣 And i grow a small garden of veggies every year. I grew a oblong cherry type tomato last season so dang sweet almost ruined salads. It's name was Candy i believe. I just grow a couple of plants and i swap out different strains i've got no favorites.

I befriended a Bavarian guy back in 2016 who was over here in the states for a similar trip to what you’re planning, except his goal was to flyfish across the country. He had to have his good old fashioned Bavarian table beer so we found it at the local grocery store View attachment 2377153I just grabbed some the other day for nostalgia purposes.
fact: Weihenstephaner is the oldest german beer, they got started 1040

If you like Bavarian beer I have to give you my top three:

1. Augustiner (obviously, it's shown above, drank the owners kids through college)
2. Tegernseer
3. Andechser

You are close:

  • It happened in 1992 when Dan Quayle visited Munoz Rivera Elementary School in Trenton, New Jersey.
  • During a spelling bee with a class of 6th graders, a student named William Figueroa correctly spelled the word potato.
  • However, Quayle, using a cue card provided by the school, instructed the student to add an “e” at the end, making it potatoe.
  • The student hesitated but followed the Vice President’s instruction, and the error quickly became a major news story, turning into one of the most memorable gaffes in modern political history.

That guy was a bird brain 🤣. I do some gardening, although I put a lot more effort into my medicinal garden , usually there’s a good selection of hot peppers, and various types of cherry tomatoes growing in the garden outside every summer. My favorite cherry tomatoes are midnight snack a hybrid that turns dark purple almost black when fully ripened. These are grown in a soil with good aeration and a good base of table scrap compost in 3-5 gallon plastic containers. I get lazy with the outdoor gardening by mid summer and typically don’t feed anything, just well water once a day unless it rains. The peppers are in a 3 part mix of pumice, peat moss, and nutrient dense potting soil usually coast of Maine stonington blend.

Singular vs plural spelling for either word adds es to the end of the word when used in plural form.
