4x8 tent - At lights on today, several plants had grown up through the light.
I was able to raise the light 8" and bought myself a few hrs. I can't believe
how overgrown these NL's & Hash Plant's have gotten. They are both
supposedly almost pure Indica and shouldn't have stretched nearly as much
as they have. Me thinks I may have gotten hosed on the beans; time will tell.
This system is a (mostly) failed experiment. The open channels are no-buano,
as the open water raises the RH too much. Next go round, I'll lay down coco
mats, cover that with Panda Plastic, with individual holes cut for the Uni-Slabs.
This may however impede the water flow too much & cause root problems.
Another drawback with this idea, is it will make the plants impossible to move.
Any males would just have to be cloned (b4 they are culled) if they are keepers.
It's been many years since I've grown and I have forgotten much,but hopefully
within a few grows, I'll be able to get a system dialed in that will produce results
worthy of some praise and bragging rights.
Until then I'll just keep plodding along and experimenting and making mistakes
and fucking up, and most importantly, I'll be having fun. Hopefully I'll be around
for a minute and be able to share my failures as well as my accomplishments so
that other's can learn from them both along with me.
There is a very real possibility that this is all in vane and I may have do a 180 and
go to smaller plants and more of a SOG type method like most people i've seen
around here; again, time will tell...
