Back to trading my seeds for something not worth shipping!
its not so much its an issue of just putting them out there. The issue will come from the ones people forget they have out there. And theres no guarantee at all your female will make a hemp seed, drop it, and that itll go next spring.

The issue is that a LOT of people do that, and simply because autoflowering is a dominant trait not recessive, it only takes 1 to make it to the next season for it to start spreading through a population simply because autoflowering is such an evolutionary ace in the whole for a plant to achieve. The plants posessing the trait will be able to reproduce and grow back 2x per season in some places, and it being a dominant trait, 3/4 of all the offspring or so, even if just one partent has the trait, will present the trait too. Thats why we went from no good autoflowering strains to tons of them in under a decade or two. Its because its a highly evolutionarily beneficial, dominant trait. You dont have to work it into a population, it does that on its own.

The reason hermies are so sporadic by contrast, is because thats a recessive trait. Both parents have to have the trait for it to express in roughly 3/4 of the offspring, if they dont, itll only express in 25% or often even less. Where as a plant could have great grandparents, where only ONE was an autoflower, and youll still see a 25% autoflowering rate give or take. Once a succesful dominant trait is within a wild population, it cannot be removed easily at all. Whereas recessive traits can be removed very easily from a genotype... often in just 1 or 2 generations, dominant traits arent so easily dealt with. The implications there are quite stressful to me because most people dont totally understand them even when you explain it to them.

The wild north american hemp land races are currently very usable for breeding work with intent. If autoflowering traits get introduced to them over the next couple decades though, they will be 100% totally useless for anything at all, even mostly useless for textiles and fiber output. They will start to spread and reproduce far more rapidly. Literally twice as fast. And it will quickly become impossible to breed cannabis outdoors in most of North America at all, and the wild fast flowering photo CBD heavy american land races will be a thing of the past too.

Putting phenolic damped silk dome reference tweets in my monitors and modifying the x-over accordingly.

Much stoked about this 🥂

Having blown up the crappy un-damped 10w stock ones that didn't even have a wave guide...

i now have the perfect excuse 🤣🤣

Putting better mkp film caps in the crossover while I'm in there too, because I have them, why not?

Wish you guys could hear these with the reference sub. It'll blow the audio buffs around here away. My beefy setup uses the same tweets and it's pretty spine tingly with the ambient stuffs. Dead flat to well past 20k. Holographic imaging.

I was into sound heavily when I was gaming. Fps's or flight simulators with Dolby surround and a huge bass box helped in game.
I always turned the music off. I was there to win a game.

I go pretty deep on the audio thing. As deep or deeper then the growing thing lol

Here's my current main set of speakers :3

+/- 3db through the entire audible spectrum. Response, phase accuracy and imaging up there with the best speakers on the market

The speakers disappear completely. Doesn't even sound like they're making sound. It's a truly holographic sound-stage above and behind them. With perceivable depth width and height. I've got it to the point I literally perceive sounds going through the walls the sound stage is so huge lol. Def a gotta hear it to believe it kinda thing.

This set of speakers makes people cry lol. Sadly I don't think I have enough room here to setup the big boys. They're going to rama to watch over them soon. (Dayton/Morel drivers) Dark line in the top right graph is the summed frequency response if this is just a bunch of gibberish to ya

I played so many fps on PC and my favorite was PlanetSide. With a good audio system you could here stealth suits walk around you to stab you in the back. On one fps all the activities from reloading to jumping out a window had sounds and you could track directions with a good system. Q3 arena was very sound supported but that game got so broke so fast.
One of my last jobs before my current condition was the mechanical side manager for a restoration and modification shop. I got to design and sell dream cars but did very little work on cars. The one thing that I stopped letting my techs do was radio installs. The fit and finish requirements for interior are different that hanging a power steering pump on a Corvette that did not option that system. The guy ( sales ) that was picking the systems had no clue. Unbalanced watts for speakers vrs radio and the worst speaker placements you could imagine. I did a lot of interior repairs on botched door panels and dash panels that my guys cheesed up.

technically a surround sound system is jsut trying its best to fudge what a properly setup 2 channel system does naturally by default (when setup properly, geometry and physics plays a crucial role in 2 channel speaker sewtup actually))

A properly tuned 2 channel system actually does directional sound better then a surround sound system, believe it or not. it's not actually even possible for a surround sound system to surpass the phase accuracy of a 2 channel. Physics is against it.

Surround sound came about because you can set it up in any room, with any number of reflective surfaces. You have to set up a room around a 2 channel system for it to soundstage properly, whereas you can tune a surround system to fudge a sound stage in any size or shape of room by correcting phase at the listening position (your head unit probably had a mic you placed at listening position, and it probably tuned its own phase accuracy) its the difference between being able to tell what direction a sound came from, and not being able to tell it wasn't actually real.

Most people that hear me say that assume im just exaggerating. But im not, not even in the slightest. If anything im underplaying the difference pretty dramatically. Its not possible for a high end multi channel surround system to image as precisely and accurately as a 2 speaker 2 channel system thats well setup. Even a pretty inexpensive one

ya just gotta remind yourself that you only have 2 ears... yet you can easily tell if a sound is coming from in front of, behind, above, or below you 😉 In fact, having 2 stereophonic ears is actually more accurate at perceiving sine phase then any other number. Thats why pretty much all animals convergently evolved around 2 ears. Same goes for vision. 2 is better then 3 is better then 1.

The thing is, most people have never even heard a properly setup 2 channel system, and dont have the slightest idea whats actually possible with it. They make the best surround sound systems sound like flat walls of mush.

I know what you are talking about . At a party I watched a guy with a high end system mess with people. With fade and balance and an eq mixer he could steer the sound right through someone. I went on the floor and it was amazing. Different instruments would walk around you and on a percussion riff it was like 10 drum sets from 10 directions high hat behind bass to the left then in front. It was wild.

a proper 2 channel system, setup well, can literally take breath away and extract tears right from the eyes. Even most people with high end audio kit dont actually know what their stuff is capable of because they've never actually heard it setup properly.

A good 2 channel can make sounds come from right behind your head, and when you turn to look, theyre still there.

its the closest thing to magic ive ever experienced outside mushrooms lmao. And you dont have to play with sliders if whoever mixed the music was really good at their job either lol.
