As young boy in the early 80s, I visited an Amish Town. Somewhere near Hershey, PA . Went to the Hershey chocolate factory after. Good Times with the Grandparents 🤓💨

I’ve Since watched a show on TV. Some groups of Amish turn the young people out for a year or so into the real world, see if they want to go that way.

Interesting lifestyle for sure ✌️
They’re basically what the average American community was like prior to the Industrial Revolution, except heavily focused on religion and traditional values. They shun the use of electricity, but it’s really confusing to pull into a McDonald’s in pulaski ny and see a horse and buggy tied to a hitching post.
My girlfriend says that I’ve got a sophomoric sense of humor, so to prove her right here’s the first thing I thought of when @Thatoneguyyouknow_ mentioned the Amish:

Yeah we went through a lot of the beasters here in ct. always heard that’s where it came from. Up like northern New York into Canada on reservations. “Bc bud”

To think about it. I get a pound of waaaay better weed now for so much cheaper than I used to pay for beasters lmao
I was paying $300 an ounce for beasters I hated them. But it was better than brick weed. Shit was always two wet to smoke right away and always resembled prematurely harvested, uncured, and barely dried indoor, So over priced but yet always available.

Holy shit $300 a zip? That’d be about 100-125 when we were getting it, most broke it down to $300 a zip selling grams I remember people payin $15g when I was payin the same for 1/8, I was usually around the guys bringin it I to town though so we just sat around. And smoked all day lol

My one buddy, we were 18 he was 45, just outta prison for sellin, had 7 kids, moved in near my best friends house, just down the hill from me, buddies sister started watchin the kids next thing we knew were chillin with this dude with 45 lbs of bud just wanting to smoke and fuck with car systems (he competed) that’s how I got such a loud system in my truck, shit was eye twisting when you were sober… and I never was sober 🤣

After about 2 years he got busted with a whole load headin back to his house never heard from him again dude was cool as fuck though, and he loved his mids and highs shit was crazy clean, he tuned his systems to Pantera 🤣🤘🤘

Yeah I was getting my stuff fronted for a while and even when I had cash, flat price unless you bought a pound. I was never into selling it for any other reason than to cover my own head stash. Prices and quality got better over the years, I think the last time I saw Beasters was 2006. Glad to see them go. It is entirely possible that you and I aren’t talking about the same stuff too. I’m like 400-500 miles east of you in NH 🤣 Between 2006 and 2016 Cannabis varieties and quality steadily increased 2016-2018 was the start of multiple varieties available all of the time, and then I started growing my own late 2018 by the following September we had recreational dispensaries ten minutes down the road in Massachusetts and from there till present day it only got better. Pretty crazy to think how much cannabis has progressed over the span of twenty years.

I’m in my mid 50s, been scratching and grabbing out an existence my whole life ✌️

I’d like to join the Amish ! 💪✌️

i remember the "every quarter weighs 5.5 when its done drying" days.

Good ole "just good enough to not call garbage" work-buds hahaha.

I started tinkering with growing so young for good reason. Either you get ripped off, or it was flat and brown 🤣

Sometimes ya got something crazy from a hippie on the mountain or because a guy knew a guy who knew a guy with cali buds that cost 30/g to anyone under the age of 20, but it was rare.

When a mountain hippie hillbilly made a new friend and somehow someone's 2nd cousin ended up with some skunk wed you could smell from the driveway... those were the days though... waiting til 3am to sneek some hits with your buddy from a coke can pipe because the shits so loud you had to put it outside under the front porch and you could still smell it when you went out for a cigg hahaha. You usually didnt even have to pay for that weed tho, it just came around in a few little buds hahaha.
