I have some skunks in my neighborhood and they dig for grubs in my yard…I also have a veggie garden out there and they never messed with it…until I gave them Alaska fish…uprooted a few of my freshly planted cukes.I DID! LOL
I've been watching the squirrels and they are pretty good about putting everything back after they dig.
This may be happening at night.
Crap, I just remembered, I gave my flower beds a treat of Alaska Fish Fertilizer. Could that be it?
Thanks! I'm almost sure that's what happened, 'cause the dig marks aren't deep and there are many. Critter was looking for the damn fish! AhhhhI have some skunks in my neighborhood and they dig for grubs in my yard…I also have a veggie garden out there and they never messed with it…until I gave them Alaska fish…uprooted a few of my freshly planted cukes.
here i am being that guy again. But only because this is one i love busting out on people.Like “noodling” for rodents.
If you haven't, and before its impossible to, you need to put some plastic or plywood between those fabric pots and the ground or the roots will grow right through em into the topsoil defeating the purpose of using the containers to avoid the ground soil. Finally started my garden.
I've sprayed the accursed verticillium infested dirt three times since last fall. But I still don't trust it.
So...I am growing in pots. 20 gallons. (altho' 5 of them seem bigger, hmmm)
Mixed up some, mostly Sunshine #4 potting soil with worm castings, bone meal, and Black Kow (worst crap I've ever purchased, used it anyway) and added to the bags.
Then gave all the photos a drink with some megacrop, and put them back on the ledge.

Jeez, i really AM that guy, i apologize
Yeah, but their teeth still grow constantly throughout their lives just like rodents! So they need to gnaw constantly, just like rodents and they will down a 10 foot pot plant just as fast as a little mouse will! But they are good eating!here i am being that guy again. But only because this is one i love busting out on people.
Fun fact. Rabbits aren't rodents, they're lagomorphs, like chinchillas lol.
Yep, you know me too well, I can not just pitch perfectly good plants. LOLI would use a few of the extras in those holes from last year just to see if your preventative measures did any good! Before I threw them in the compost! Or maybe even grab a couple of 10 gallon bags and fill them up with the soil from the tainted holes! And see what happens!
Better start thinking about laying in some bamboo!Got'em in! Just in time for a cold front and rain, yay!
Couldn't tell who's who, so I just picked a healthy one each time. Thanks @Galgrows, I kept waiting and waiting.
I put 3 plants in each pot, so we will see. Oh, I mixed them up. Still have too many plants.
I'm going to put some of the best looking into gallon pots, just in case.

Can you buy them by the pallet? LOLBetter start thinking about laying in some bamboo!![]()
Yeah, you could! You got quite a while till you have to worry about it! Whatever it takes to get them going in the desired direction! I’ve used chunks of firewood! Ha ha!Can you buy them by the pallet? LOL
Wait, we have lots of rocks, I can just 'tie one on'!
Plant them all. Label nothing. CHAOS.So, dilemma here. (like thats new? LOL)
I have 32 named varieties to put into 12 pots.
What to do, what to do....
Seriously thinking about putting 3 different ones in each pot.
What ya think?
So, @cbrians what do you think of that experiment? Hmmm? LOL
